The tempo of the story picks up with the appearance of Jiina!? In fact, she is the one who understands her surroundings and acts accordingly more than anyone else – “Love is Not Divided by Twins” Interview Series No. 7: Ishihara Kaori, who plays Amamiya Jiina”Love is Unbreakable by Twins,” currently being published by Dengeki Bunko, has been adapted into a TV anime! It will be broadcast on AT-X, TOKYO MX, and other stations from July 10, 2024.

Jun Shirasaki and the Jinguji sisters, Rumi and Naori, are childhood friends who have been together since they were little and have been like family ever since they were little. The relationship between the three of them, who have been interacting without having any specific relationship, changes one day into a twisted love triangle with one word uttered by Rumi.

To commemorate the broadcast, we conducted an email interview with the cast! After the broadcast of episode 6, we asked Kaori Ishihara, who plays Jiina Amamiya, to look back on the episode.

–Please tell us your impressions after reading the original work and the script.

Ishihara Kaori (Ishihara), who plays Amamiya Jiina: At first, I thought the complicated love triangle between Jun, Rumi, and Naori was difficult and I couldn’t see the outcome. I felt a bit frustrated, just like Rumi and Naori, and thought, “Jun, please be clear.” I was curious to see how the story would progress, so I looked forward to reading the next script every time.

–Please tell us your first impression of Jiina. Also, did your impression of the character change as you continued recording?

Ishihara: From the fact that she talks like a gal and fails her tests, I got the impression that Jiina is an optimistic, slightly rough, and mood-maker. But as the story progresses, I get the sense that she pays close attention to others and speaks and acts accordingly, and my impression of her has changed to the point that maybe she is the one who understands her surroundings better than anyone else. I also think that she often thinks about how she can act to achieve what she wants.

–Jina has a gal-like way of speaking and a distinctive word sense, but is there anything you keep in mind when playing her? Please tell us if there were any preparations you made for the recording or any direction you received on the spot.

Ishihara: When I first appeared, I was asked to act as if my grades were worse than my actual grades because the voice quality of the test voice sounded serious. So I tried to act as if I was cute but not as smart as possible.

–Jina seems like the type of person who can get along with anyone without discrimination, but how were you conscious of the distance between you and the three characters, Jun, Rumi, and Naori?

Ishihara: Although it was my first time meeting Jun, I played him as if we had known each other for a long time, and acted as if we were close friends. I was already close to Rumi, so I played her as close as good friends. I wanted to get closer to Naori, but it wasn’t going well, so I tried to close the distance between us little by little.
