“Seirei Gensouki” is a fantasy story of reincarnation in another world, where the past and present intersect. Rio, who has awakened the memories of Amakawa Haruto and his great magical powers from his past life, enrolls in a prestigious academy where the children of aristocrats gather. The story depicts Rio, who crawls up from the bottom of a class society, overcoming his cruel fate through repeated encounters and partings.
A new chapter of the “Spirit Chronicles” series has begun! After returning to the Strahl region after his journey, Rio rescues Celia, who was forced into an unwanted political marriage. Then, he is led by a pillar of light that suddenly appears, and has a shocking reunion with Ayase Miharu, the girl he had his first love in his previous life, Amakawa Haruto.
A key visual featuring the characters who hold the key to the story of this work has also been released, and in anticipation of the broadcast, we conducted an email interview with Akane Fujita, who plays Celia. In addition, a new visual of Celia from the second season has also been released!
In the interview, we asked Akane Fujita, who plays Celia, about her impressions of Celia and what to look forward to in the second season.
–Looking back at Celia’s exploits in the first season, what kind of character do you think she is? Please tell us your impression of Celia.
Akane Fujita (voice of Celia) (hereafter, Fujita): She’s a small and cute teacher! After all, Celia is someone who makes Rio feel safe.
— Now that it has been decided that season 2 will be broadcast, what are your honest thoughts about doing the dubbing?
Fujita: I think that everyone watching felt the same way, but the end of the first season left me thinking “There’s going to be a continuation, right?!”, so I was happy to finally be able to play the sequel.
In between the first and second seasons we recorded the drama CD and WakuWaku Magical Classroom, but for the main series we recorded seriously because Celia is in the main series (lol)!
–What do you think will be the highlights of Celia in the second season?
Fujita: The clothes have changed, so that’s one thing to note!
In terms of the story, the second half of episode 4 seems to be a highlight for Celia, as it has some heartbreaking glimpses into her relationship of trust with Rio and her family.
–While playing Celia, is there anything that you like about her? Please tell us.
Fujita: I think it’s cute how he tries to stop Rio from interacting with the other kids, saying things like, “The teacher won’t forgive you…!” The way he says it isn’t honest, but the way he expresses it is honest, or rather, I like how there’s a little bit of childishness in it.
— Are there any lines from Celia in season 2 that left an impression on you?
Fujita: “Really? Well, I did teach Rio about it.”
It was a casual scene, but Celia was adorable saying “Hmmm!” There were quite a few other lines that used a lot of katakana… I did my best!!
──Please say a few words to your fans.
Fujita: The second season will finally start airing in October!
The first season is being rebroadcast, so I hope you’ll be excited about Seirei Gensouki while you wait until autumn. I hope you’ll be looking forward to the second season!
