Today, the second season of the seventh season of the TV anime began airing, and new opening and ending themes were announced! The creditless versions of the opening and ending videos were also released.
The opening theme is a newly written song called “Curtain Call” by singer-songwriter Yuri ! The ending theme is “Sixth Magnitude Star” by up-and-coming artist Zarame, who is making his debut with this work .

The opening theme, “Curtain Call,” is a fast-paced upper rock song that sings of a hero and a villain who each face problems and answers, but who started out with the same emotions but chose different paths, and the hope that in different worlds they might have been able to understand each other.
On the other hand, the ending theme, “Sixth Magnitude Star,” is a sad yet ephemeral ballad that sings of the feeling that even if you feel insignificant compared to the sun-like presence that shines on you, and even if you can’t shine as brightly as that person when they are gone, you will always continue to chase after them.
These two songs will color the second cour of the seventh season, where the battle between heroes and villains becomes increasingly heated.
The opening theme “Curtain Call” is by Deku, and the ending theme “Sixth Magnitude Star” is by Ochako Uraraka, Deku’s classmate who fights alongside him against the villains. Each theme features an impressive expression. Both the opening and ending themes will be available for download on various music streaming services starting at midnight on Friday, July 19th, and the visuals will be used on the download jacket.

The OP video starts with Deku and Shigaraki Tomura confronting each other, and then goes on to show the emotions and drama of the characters, including not only the heroes but also the villains, that will unfold in the 2nd cour, as well as the dizzying battle scenes full of the “individuality” that is unique to My Hero Academia. With the “curtain call” as the backdrop, the video is full of the battles and human drama from the perspectives of both the heroes and the villains, and the charm that is unique to My Hero Academia.

The ED video shows the heroes Deku and the villains Shigaraki and the others swaying in the water, one by one as they are projected. With a sixth magnitude star as the backdrop, the main story is a fierce battle, but in this fantastical video, unlike any previous My Hero Academia, their inner feelings seem to melt into the water.

次は、君だ――。
超常能力“個性”を持つ人間が当たり前になった世界で、“平和の象徴”と呼ばれたかつてのNo.1ヒーロー・オールマイトが“悪の帝王”との死闘を制した直後に発した言葉。
オールマイトがNo,1ヒーローの座を退いた後も、彼のヒーローの意志は、出久たち雄英高校ヒーロー科に受け継がれた。
出久たちが雄英2年目の春に勃発した、ヒーローvs敵＜ヴィラン＞の全面戦争。出久は恐るべき力を手に入れた死柄木弔と対峙、激しくぶつかり合う。ヒーローと敵＜ヴィラン＞の双方が大きなダメージを受け、死柄木の撤退により戦いは一旦の終結を見るが、再び相まみえる決戦の時は刻一刻と近づいていた。
そんな全面戦争の影響で荒廃した社会に突如、謎の巨大要塞が現れ、次々と街や人を飲み込んでいく。
そして出久たちの前に、“平和の象徴”を思わせる男が立ちはだかり……
