The third act of this four-act film finally began screening in theaters on Friday, July 5th. A stage greeting to commemorate the screening was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 on Saturday, July 6th, the day after the release. Kohei Amasaki, who plays the main character Rose, Makoto Furukawa, who plays Ash, Director Yoshimitsu Ohashi, Producer Hirojiro Taniguchi, and MC Tatsuo Sankyu took to the stage.
In addition, the key visual and 10 scene cuts from the final act, which will begin screening on Friday, August 2nd, have also been released.

Immediately after the screening, Amasaki, Furukawa, Director Ohashi, and Producer Taniguchi appeared on stage to begin their greetings, greeted by thunderous applause from fans.
First, when asked how he felt about the release of the third act yesterday, Director Ohashi commented, “When we announced the release (at last year’s official Code Geass event), it was winter, and the conclusion was in August… I thought that seemed so far away. I’m surprised that the final act is already next month,” he said, reflecting on how quickly time had passed.
Amaki, who saw the third act yesterday, the opening day of the screening, and brought a pamphlet onto the stage, said with a big smile, “I saw it at a late show, and there were a lot of people in the audience. It seemed like the number of people in the audience was increasing with each showing, which made me happy.”
While there were many fans at the venue who had seen Act 1 and Act 2 more than five times, there were also some for whom Act 3 was their first time seeing “Rose’s Recovery,” and it was clear once again that the film’s reputation is spreading with each passing act.
Furukawa also reflected that “the third act had many psychologically wrenching stories,” and commented that he was happy to read the comments of people who had seen the film on social media and elsewhere and that they had enjoyed it.
Producer Taniguchi commented on the appearance of familiar characters and said with emotion, “About three months ago, I said that those who have watched all of the Code Geass series would enjoy it the most, and I feel like that has finally been fulfilled. All the cast members were there to record, and it was like a class reunion.”
In the third act, Ash’s past, which had been shrouded in mystery until now, is revealed, and the relationship between Ash and Sakuya changes.
When asked about Rose in this episode, Amaki revealed that she was nervous that the story might not feature Rose in the future, and commented, “I think Rose’s position and acting have changed a lot between the first and second acts. Please look forward to seeing how things go.”
He also boasted that he was wearing a voice changer keychain, a theater merchandise from the third act, as a necklace. The audience erupted in laughter when he said, “This is my role (lol).”
Regarding Amakasa, Furukawa said, “In the final act, you can see Amakasa Kohei’s incredible skills,” and Director Ohashi also praised him, saying, “I was moved too,” raising expectations for the next episode.
Furthermore, after a serious scene with Ash and Sakuya, the topic of his love interest, Raspberry-chan, came up. Furukawa commented that “that was the most fun part of Act 3,” which elicited applause from the audience as if in agreement.
The conversation turned to the next battle scene, where a character who was thought to have already finished his scene reappeared with high energy, causing a great deal of excitement. It was also revealed that the scene in which Director Ohashi had mentioned “there is a slip-up” during the staff talk show in the second act was the scene in which the left ear of a certain Nightmare Frame is detached.
“Because it’s 3D, I was told that if parts could come off it would be difficult to manage, but I insisted that they include it,” he said, passionately explaining his commitment.
After the photo session, each member gave a message to their fans.
Producer Taniguchi said, “Many things will be resolved in the next episode, the final act. Other characters will appear besides those who appeared this time (from previous series). I hope you will watch the story of Rose and Ash until the very end.”
Director Ohashi commented that, “The final act will be Noland’s turn throughout,” but added that he would like viewers to watch the entire series in the theater first, as viewers will be unable to wait for the next episode if it is streamed online.
Furukawa spoke passionately, saying, “First of all, I would like you to enjoy these three acts, think about the seeds that have been sown so far, and then consider what will happen next in light of that. I think that will make you even more excited for the final act. The final act…made me cry.”
