“Urusei Yatsura x JR Tokai” collaboration with Ram, but is it a game of tag? You can also enjoy newly recorded voice dramas♪A collaboration between the TV anime “Urusei Yatsura” and JR Tokai has been decided. From May 31st, you can enjoy a newly recorded voice drama on the Tokaido Shinkansen, and there are plans to hold quizzes and sell limited collaboration goods.

“Urusei Yatsura” is Rumiko Takahashi’s serialized debut work, and is a romantic comedy about high school student Ataru Moroboshi and the alien Ram. The TV anime commemorating the 100th anniversary of Shogakukan’s founding is a project that will feature carefully selected episodes from the original work as completely new films over four seasons. The first season will air from October 2022 to March 2023. The second season will be broadcast from January 2024.

The JR Tokai collaboration features a game of tag between Ram and Ataru on the Tokaido Shinkansen. First, when the Tokaido Shinkansen train reaches a certain speed while it is running, you can enjoy an original voice drama that can be listened to from a dedicated website.

After listening to the voice drama, if you go to an Animate store along the line or the nearest Shinkansen station, there will also be an epilogue voice that tells you the ending of the game of tag.

A quiz will also be held in the original voice drama. If you find a hit from the hints given by the characters, you will receive a newly designed wallpaper. If you participate in the quiz, you can also get an acrylic coaster (with ball chain) featuring a newly drawn illustration.

Animate stores along the line sell collaboration limited goods. Furthermore, the locations where quiz participants can redeem novelty items are also located at Animate locations along the railway lines. Target stores are Animate Shizuoka Parco, Animate Hamamatsu, Animate Nagoya, Animate Avanti Kyoto, and Animate Umeda.

The collaboration period will run from May 31st (Friday) to June 30th (Sunday). Details will be released sequentially on the JR Tokai Oshi Tabi “Urusei Yatsura” special website and Oshi Tabi Official X (formerly Twitter).

“Urusei Yatsura”

is broadcast every Thursday from 24:55 on Fuji TV “Noitamina” and other channels.
