The latest TV anime series, “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V: The Harvest Goddess Arc,” will begin airing in 2024. In Animate Times, we look back on the relationships and stories between Bell and the charming heroines who have appeared so far!
In this article, we will look back on the life of the Xenos Marie!
Species: Mermaid
Zenos is a mermaid who met Bell in the lower levels of the dungeon. Although she can move very fast in the water, she cannot go out onto land, so she is unable to travel with the other Heretics. She is surprisingly attached to Bell when they first meet. (Quoted from the official website)
Bell met the heretic (Xenos) Marie during his dungeon expedition. She appeared before Bell after he got separated from his companions during a battle with Moss Huge (enhanced species).
At first, she seemed a little wary of Bell after he defeated the monsters, but as soon as she realized that Bell had an understanding attitude towards the heretic (Xenos), she quickly became attached to him, hugging him.
Although he seems to have interactions with the other Heretics (Xenos), he is often at home alone as he is restricted to being near water. However, due to his curious nature, he quickly opens up to Bell.
Additionally, her (the Mermaid’s) blood has the effect of recovering damage, and she gave it to Bell, who was injured in a battle with a monster, to drink, which completely restored his health.
Marie is 14 years old, the same age as Bell, but she is still mentally immature and her straightforward behavior often confuses Bell…
Marnie spends a lot of time alone, but a Moss Huge (Enhanced) was causing trouble in her vicinity.
Bell asks Marnie to guide him on his way to defeat the Moss Huge. Marnie initially tries to stop him, not wanting to lose Bell, who she had come all the way to meet, but is moved by Bell’s determination and leads him to the Moss Huge.
Along the way, Belle carries Marie in her arms like a princess, and even though they’re in the middle of an adventure, she hugs him and exclaims, “This is fun!” The two of them grow ever closer.
Finally, Bell finally made it to his Familia and successfully defeated the Moss Huge. Marnie, who had been watching the battle nearby, told him, “Thank you, Bell. I love you!” and returned to her home.
Later, when Bell was seriously injured in the battle with Juggernaut, he was saved by Marie’s blood delivered to him by the other Zenos.
Marie, who was feeling lonely and alone, met Bell and was inspired by him.
Bell is an adventurer who accepts the existence of heretics (Xenos). Although it was a short adventure, they were able to defeat the Moss Huge that was threatening them.
Marie innocently relies on Bell, who is always there for her. However, as she sees him risking his life for himself and his friends, she is inspired and her trust and affection for him deepens.
When Marie tells Bell, “I love you!” her expression looks a little more mature than it did before she met him, and she probably still cherishes the courage and kindness that Bell showed her.
