“Inside Out 2” makes the story feel more familiar to you! “Dialect Special Footage” dubbed in 11 different dialects from all over Japan has been released! The movie “Inside Out 2” is now in theaters from Thursday, August 1, 2024.

This time, a “Dialect Special Video” has been released, featuring 11 dialects from the north to the south of the Japanese archipelago: Osaka (Kansai dialect), Aichi, Ishikawa, Aomori, Fukushima, Okayama, Miyazaki, Kumamoto, Okinawa, Hokkaido, and Fukuoka.

The newly released footage shows lines from one scene in the film changing successively into 11 dialects, starting with the Kansai dialect of Osaka and continuing through dialects from Aichi, Ishikawa, Aomori, Fukushima, Okayama, Miyazaki, Kumamoto, Okinawa, Hokkaido, and Fukuoka, spanning from the north to the south of the Japanese archipelago.

This work is set in a world of “emotions” that are present in everyone, and is relatable to everyone. This time, in order to make the work more accessible to people all over Japan as “their own story,” a special video was planned in which the story was dubbed in dialects from all over Japan.

The intonation and cadence of each dialect perfectly match the lines, making it a film you’ll want to watch over and over again. Watching Riley, her friends, and the emotions speak in their own dialects is somehow endearing and refreshing, making this a special film that allows you to once again feel the characteristics, diversity, and charm of each dialect.
