Kazumi Takayama, a member of the 1st generation of Nogizaka46, started writing full-length novels for the magazine “Da Vinci” in 2016.

The title of the novel is “Trapezium”.

What Takayama wrote during her days as an active idol was “a youthful story of a girl who aspires to become an idol.”

The novel, which incorporates the original author’s own experiences and struggles, received a great response for its fresh, realistic and passionate writing, and became a huge hit with a cumulative circulation of 300,000 copies.

Then, plans to make it into an animated film began.

During his long career in film production, Takayama has been extensively involved in screenplays and music, and has collaborated with CloverWorks, the studio behind many popular works such as “Bocchi the Rock!” and “SPY x FAMILY,” as well as the production staff and creators. With their cooperation, we reconstructed “Trapezium” as a film.

Up-and-coming voice actor Asaki Yukawa plays the 15-year-old protagonist, Yu Higashi.

The cast of members of the idol group “Tozai Nanboku” formed by Yuu are Hina Hitsujimiya as Kurumi Taiga in the west, Rena Ueda as Ranko Kacho in the south, and Haruka Aikawa as Mika Kamei in the north.
