A new teaser PV for this film, “Husband Edition,” has been released!
Additionally, Kana Okazaki has been chosen to play Keisuke’s subordinate, Yoshimi Moriya. Her comment has arrived.
The newly released PV is a heartwarming teaser video in which Keisuke, who has not yet recovered from the grief of losing his beloved wife, savors the time he spends with his wife who has returned as an elementary school student, and becomes grateful once again for how great she is to him.
The film makes you realize how different everyday life can look just by having a wife, and the heart-wrenching scenes, as if Keisuke’s wish has come true, are sure to move you to tears.
–What were your thoughts after reading the original work?
I found the contrast between Takae’s straightforward, calm personality and her young appearance as an elementary school student intriguing, and enjoyed reading the story.
Although it is a fantasy, it depicts the worries and conflicts of everyday life and reality.
How to deal with the loss of a loved one and how to move on with life? I was deeply moved by the theme that everyone faces someday, and I was in tears.
About the character you played
Yoshimi Moriya is kind, gentle, pure, and considerate… she’s a wonderful person (laughs). I think her purity is especially apparent in this anime.
When I actually acted as her, I was able to feel her kindness as well as her mental strength. Her determination to give her all for the people she cares about becomes an important key to the end of the story.
— This time, “bento” is an important element in the story. What is your favorite bento and why?
I have fond memories of the bento lunches I had at picnics and sports days. I love eating them in unusual places, especially under the open sky.
My favorite side dishes were cheese omelets and fried chicken, but the one that left the biggest impression on me was canned cherries. I don’t usually eat them, but for some reason they’re always in my bento. It’s a taste that brings back memories.
thanks Mom.
–A message to your fans?
I was lucky to come across this work. There were many things about Moriya that I could empathize with, and each time we performed it I felt like we were in sync, so it was a valuable experience.
This work will make you realize that ordinary everyday life is precious and irreplaceable. As you follow the story, you will surely feel courageous and moved.
Please watch it with us until the end.
