Ranma 1/2 is a fighting love comedy that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday by Rumiko Takahashi from 1987 to 1996. Akane Tendo’s father has decided on a fiance for her. However, her fiance, Ranma Saotome, has a unique constitution that causes him to transform into a woman when splashed with water… This is the plot that begins with the daily life of the protagonist, who gets everyone around him involved, laughing, crying, and going wild.
In 1989, it was made into a TV anime series called “Ranma 1/2” and “Ranma 1/2: Hot Battle Arc,” and was also made into a movie and an OVA. The voice actors at the time included Yamaguchi Kappei, Hidaka Noriko, Hayashibara Megumi, Ogata Kenichi, Takayama Minami, Inoue Kikuko, Sakuma Rei, Seki Toshihiko, and Yamadera Kouichi.
In 2011, it was made into a live-action drama starring Aragaki Yui, Kaku Kento, and Natsuna.
Details about the new anime will be announced on July 17th at the “Ranma 1/2 New Anime Grand Announcement” livestream on Anime Official X. A host of special guests will also be making an appearance to announce the latest information on the series.
Speaking of re-animating Takahashi’s work, the completely new TV anime “Urusei Yatsura” has just come to an end, with Kamiya Hiroshi as Ataru Moroboshi and Uesaka Sumire as Lum. What kind of work will the “completely new” “Ranma 1/2” be? Anticipation is building for further information, such as cast information.
I’m really looking forward
to seeing what kind of action scenes we’ll see in the new anime “Ranma” this time!
