“If you do it, you’ll finish it!” Nakajima has a strong message of encouragement for students who haven’t finished their summer vacation homework! He also reminisces about his favorite game “Ib”! Interview with Yuki Nakajima, the August 2024 personality of “Lashinban Radio”Lashinbang is an anime shop known for buying and selling used anime goods. To make shopping in the store even more fun, Lashinbang Radio is currently being broadcast in stores! In addition to the free-flowing talk of the personalities, the radio program also features a variety of Lashinbang-related segments and a segment that provides easy-to-understand explanations about buying.

The personality from July to December 2024 will be Nakajima Yuki, who is known for her roles as Ayase Saki in “Stepsister Life,” Ojiuchi Ryoha in “Na Nare Hana Nare,” Kunashiri Iren in “Tandoku,” Imai Lisa in “BanG Dream!,” and Hinomori Shiho in “Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku”!

This month, Animate Times interviewed Nakajima-san, who had just finished recording a radio show. This is the second interview, and it’s packed with stories that are perfect for the midst of summer! Nakajima-san talked about his own summer memories, the horror adventure game “Ib,” and more, with a passion that rivals the summer heat!

–Thank you for your hard work today on the Lashinbang Radio recording! This was your second recording, but how did it go compared to the first time?

Yuki Nakajima (hereinafter, Nakajima) : This time, I think we were able to record more authentically than last time, and it was fun! I received a lot of letters saying, “I heard it at the store!”, which made me really happy.

–You really did receive a lot of letters.

Nakajima : I’m grateful. I’ll be waiting for your letters in the future! (laughs)

— I have a feeling things are going to get even more exciting! Now, let’s take a look back at the contents of the radio show. What did you talk about in the “August Memories” Story Diary” corner?

Nakajima : We were given talk topics such as “Stories about summer events,” “Should you do your summer homework first or later?” and “What would you like to do if you were to do an independent study?”

For “Summer event episodes,” I talked about Comiket. However, I’ve never been to Comiket in summer, so I ended up talking about my impressions of the people who attend. I have an image of them being full of energy, like, “I won’t let my goal slip away…!”

If asked, “Should I do my summer vacation homework first or later?”, I would probably be the type to work hard at the beginning of the vacation, but give up after three days. In the end, I remembered that I had homework a week before the vacation was over, and started doing it in a hurry (laughs).

–But even so, you still managed to finish it right to the end in order to meet the deadline.

Nakajima : I worked hard! After all, school report marks are important (laughs).

–You’re right. What about your independent research?

Nakajima : I never wanted to do it then, and I still don’t want to do it now. I want to say, “Who created this (homework assignment)?”

— (laughs) Did your family help you with your independent research?

Nakajima : I had help! I remember deciding on the topic together with my father, thinking about the research content, and still struggling with it…

— I can relate to that too… By the way, among the independent research you did at the time, was there any research topic that left a lasting impression on you?

Nakajima : (Thinking for a while) I used litmus paper to classify everyday objects into alkaline and acidic! That was hellish too… (laughs). If you go to buy the things you need, do the research, and summarize the results… it takes so much time that it takes up almost an entire day. All I remember about the independent research is, “Huh…”

–The sense of tragedy really comes through… (laughs).

Nakajima : I don’t want to go back…to my childhood.

–So, if you were asked the typical question, “If you could go back in time, would it be the past or the future?”, would you choose the future?
