In “Aikatsu Academy!”, three girls dream of becoming top idols and engage in live streaming activities. At the same time, their daily activities are distributed as “Aikatsu Academy! Cards” (#DemiCa), and you can listen to their voices and collect digital cards on a page called My Page. The content can be enjoyed along two axes: live streaming and digital cards.

In this article, we will report on the project announcement event, which also included a press conference with the three idols.
The three will be broadcasting for the first time on the official YouTube channel “Aikatsu Academy! Broadcast Department” from 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024. There will also be a “debut live” during the broadcast, so look forward to it!
First, the original “Aikatsu!” project producer, Masashi Harada, explained the project. The theme is “Turn your dreams into power and create a new Aikatsu together! Now streaming!” “Aikatsu Academy!” is a work that specializes in “virtual live entertainment” as a challenge to both existing and new fans.
The project has extracted three keywords from the “Aikatsu! Series” – “top idol,” “self-produced,” and “Aikatsu! Cards” – and aims to create a new “Aikatsu” through streaming.
In addition to the participatory distribution based on the theme of “making it together,” this work has set up a fan-made policy to support fan-made content (derivative creations). It will be possible to download official instrumental sound sources for derivative music creations such as “singing covers,” as well as fan-made card frames, for free.
After the explanation of the project was finished, the three girls who aim to become top idols in “Aikatsu Academy!” appeared on stage. A “press conference” was held, making use of the virtual live performance.
Himeno Mieru, Mami Yume Mee, and Wao Parin enrolled in the idol training school “Aikatsu Academy” with the dream of becoming top idols. They established the “Aikatsu Academy! Streaming Club” and will be doing “Aikatsu” with everyone through streaming.
When asked by the host, voice actress Ayami Yuki, who is a big fan of “Aikatsu!”, why they auditioned for the school, all three said that they had seen “Soleil” live and had been inspired by them.
When asked what kind of idol she wants to be, Mieru replied, “I want to change my shyness. I want people to know that by becoming an idol like me, anyone can shine. I want to be an idol who can run with someone.”
Mae said, “I want to be an idol who can make people feel better when they’re bored or depressed. I want people to have dreams, remember their dreams, and feel energized through my idol activities. I want to be an idol who can add color to someone’s life.”
Palin said, “I want to become the most shining idol in the world and bring lots of smiles to everyone.”
They each answered with their own idea of what an idol is like.
In addition, in response to the question “What kind of distribution do you plan to do?”
Mieru said, “I want to chat, play games, sing, and talk about Aikatsu with everyone. I also want to watch my seniors’ activities at the same time. Also, if possible, I want to climb cliffs and break tiles.”
Mae said, “I’ve only recently come to Tokyo, so I want to try a variety of genres. I’m good at going to bed early and getting up early, and I love singing, so I want to stream using my strengths and interests.”
Palin said, “I love games, so I want to enjoy playing games with everyone. I want to support everyone, so I want to become a cheerleader and do a cheering squad stream. Also, on Christmas, I want to grab an axe and decorate the tree with everyone.”
She also seemed interested in trying out the unique katsudo that is Aikatsu!
Finally, what are your future aspirations?
Mieru: “The three of us started the streaming club, but we want to do Aikatsu with everyone. I’d be happy to see you on our first stream.”

パリン「二人が言ってほしいことを行ってくれたので、みなさんと自分たちで楽しいアイカツができたらすごい嬉しいなと思っています。これからも一生懸命頑張っていくので応援よろしくお願いします！」
と元気にコメントしてくれました。
繰り返しにはなりますが、彼女たちの初配信は2024年7月27日（土）の19時より、公式YouTubeチャンネル「アイカツアカデミー！配信部」で行われます。どんな”お披露目ライブ”が見られるのか、今から楽しみです！
会場には3人の大きなアクリルパネルや、オフィシャルショップ等で販売されるグッズなどが並んでいました。

配信活動を通じてトップアイドルを目指す女の子たちとつくっていく「スポ根サクセスストーリー」。
トップアイドルに憧れて、アイドル養成学園「アイカツアカデミー」に入学した姫乃みえる、真未夢メエ、和央パリンの3人。
夢一杯でアイドル活動をスタートする3人だが、アイドルとしてのキャリアがない彼女たちは失敗ばかり。
入学早々、現実はそう甘くないことを突きつけられる。まずは、自分たち自身を知ってもらうところから始めたい。
そんな想いをもって、彼女たち3人は、手作りのアイドル活動を行うため「アイカツアカデミー！配信部」を創部する。
トップアイドルを目指す彼女たちの道のりは今始まったばかり。
