In the wooden apartment building “Astro-sou”, there are the alien Mira Gotokuji (CV. Maaya Uchida), the new live-in chef Takumi Miyasaka (CV. Soma Saito), and a hardcore unemployed man. It is inhabited by unique residents, including underground idols. Then Shoyin Ginger, who came from the same planet Mibo as Mira, appeared. It seems she came to take Mira back…

In the third installment of the series, we asked Jun Fukuyama, the voice of Shoyin Ginger, to talk about the appeal of Astronaut.

–This time it will be an original anime. Please tell us your honest impressions when you saw the setting and character setting of the story about the cheerful residents of an apartment.

Jun Fukuyama (hereinafter referred to as Fukuyama) who plays the role of Shoyin Ginger: When I received the script and looked at the setting of Shoyin and the materials for the other characters, I knew what this work was trying to do, so I was very impressed. It’s been fun.

The moment I saw the design, I felt so excited that I thought I was being bullied (lol).

――What do you think about the setting, which is similar to what we now call a shared house, where there are happy residents in an apartment?

Fukuyama: It looks like it’s fun to watch from the side, and I feel like I admire the cheerfulness and humanity, but the setting is too high for me to jump into.

–Eisaku Kubonouchi is in charge of the character design. Please let me know if you have any thoughts about Mr. Kubonouchi.

Fukuyama: I’m from the generation that read Tsurumoku Single Dormitory'' andWatanabe” when I was a student, so I got excited when I saw Kubonouchi-san’s name in the script! ! I never thought I would be able to work with Mr. Kubonouchi on his work. It’s a show-in based on that (lol). I’m honored and lucky!

–Shoin is Mira’s self-proclaimed fiance and childhood friend. She seems to have a lot of flair, but what kind of character do you think she is? What did she value when she was in charge of the voice?

福山：ノーブル（※高貴なさま）なので市井から浮こうがそれは仕方がないこと。だってノーブルですもん。くらいの感覚で捉えています。むしろそうでない方たちが可哀そうな感覚でいるくらいの気持ちでもありますし、自称という具合に設定で書かれてしまっていますけれども、自称ができるくらいの存在認知ができる人、とポジティブに捉えてみるのも良いかと思っております。というメンタリティでやっていました。

――お気に入りのキャラクターを教えてください。

福山：ミラの、違うのによくわからない人妻感は好きです。あと地下アイドルとしてステージにいる照子は絶品です。見ればわかります。

――第3話の感想をお聞かせください。

福山：普通にやったら斉藤壮馬と内田真礼に笑われました。ディレクションでは「もっと普通にやってください」と言われました。おかしなことはしていなかったのですが、どうやらおかしかったようです。

――第3話で印象的だったシーンを教えてください。

福山：一庶民の片思い青年から見える、ノーブルに見える想い人の昔馴染みという存在が、どれだけうっとうしく見えるかをお楽しみいただければ幸いです。

――今後の見どころをお願いします。

福山：ラブホテルと右フック。これだけは覚えておいてください。あとは観ていただければわかります。

最終話まで余すことなくお楽しみください。どうやら最終話で全部持って行くぞ的な宣伝文句をオンエア前に見たような気がするのですが、最終話…？
