“Bocchi the Rock!” Exhibition to be held in Nagoya, featuring a re-creation of “STARRY” and “Approval-Seeking Monster”An exhibition of the anime “Bocchi the Rock!”, which is currently screening the movie compilation “Bocchi the Rock! Re:”, will be held at PARCO HALL on the 9th floor of the South Building of Nagoya PARCO in Aichi Prefecture from September 7, 2024.

“Bocchi the Rock!” is an anime based on a four-frame manga by Hamaji Aki, currently being serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara MAX. The story depicts the

extremely shy and gloomy girl Goto Hitori joining a band called “Yuuzou Band” and growing up with the three unique members, Ijichi Nika, Yamada Ryo, and Kita Ikuyo, and has garnered a lot of sympathy.

As soon as the TV anime aired in the fall of 2022, it became extremely popular, especially among young people. It has won numerous awards and gained tremendous support both at home and abroad. The first part of the “Bocchi the Rock!” compilation, which re-edits the TV anime and delivers it to movie theaters with a powerful screen and sound, “Re:”, has been in theaters since June 7th. The second part, “Re:Re:”, is scheduled to be released on August 9th.

The “Bocchi the Rock!” Anime Exhibition, being held at Nagoya PARCO, is the Aichi venue for the exhibition, where visitors can look back on all 12 episodes of the TV anime with the characters, experience the charm of this much-talked-about series, such as the live concert scenes and empathy with the characters’ growth.

In addition to original drawings, art, and video materials, there will be many exhibits that can only be seen here, such as illustrations drawn specifically for this exhibition and a recreation of the live house that appeared in the work.

At the entrance, a large illustration drawn especially for this exhibition will be displayed. Along with the song “Seishun Complex,” it will invite you into the world of the anime “Bocchi the Rock!”. You’ll want to find your favorite band in the recreation of the live house “STARRY” that appeared in the work. In addition, a monster with a desire for approval will appear at the venue, shouting “Give me a like!”, and a “like button” will also be available.

Other goods include “cassette tape style random cards,” “random tin badges,” “quote towels,” “cable tie rubber coasters,” “cable tie tumblers,” “lyric notebooks,” etc. As a purchase bonus, if you spend 5,000 yen or more (tax included) at the merchandise venue, you will receive one of four randomly selected “illustration cards,” so fans should not miss this.

The “Bocchi the Rock!” Anime Exhibition will be held from September 7th to September 29th at PARCO HALL on the 9th floor of the South Building of Nagoya PARCO in Aichi.
