The cast will include Miyuki Sawashiro as Oscar, Aya Hirano as Marie Antoinette, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Andre, and Kazuki Kato as Fersen. MAPPA will be in charge of animation production.

My name is Sawashiro Miyuki, and I will be voicing Oscar in the animated film “The Rose of Versailles.”
Using Ikeda Riyoko’s drawing of Oscar as my bible, we have created Oscars with Tajima Reiko’s voice, as well as sublimated versions in live-action films and stage productions. Now, into that history, another new Oscar is about to be born under Director Yoshimura. (The animation team has an incredible amount of work to do!) Right now, I’m just waiting quietly and nervously for the day it’s completed.
■ Oscar François de Jarjayes
Although she is the youngest daughter of a distinguished aristocratic family and a general, she was raised as the heir and “son”. She is a beautiful woman who dresses like a man. At a young age, she served as the captain of the French Guard and guarded Marie Antoinette. She is childhood friends with Andre, the grandson of her wet nurse.
It’s like a dream. I never thought I would have the opportunity
to play the role of Marie Antoinette, a role I have always admired, in this historic masterpiece.
As a fan who has continued to watch the manga, anime and stage productions, I never thought this day would come.
I think this production is quite a challenge.
It was very clear to see that each member of the production team has a deep attachment to the work, and that they are creating it with respect. I hope
that this production will revolutionize the image of The Rose of Versailles that everyone has, and herald the beginning of a new era.
■Marie Antoinette
Daughter of the Austrian Empress Maria Theresa. She came to France at the age of 14 to become the wife of King Louis XVI. She was beautiful, proud, and had a natural charm that attracted people, but she led a free-spirited and extravagant life in an attempt to escape the strictures of the French court and the pressures around her.
I never thought that the day would come when I would be in such a historic and legendary work as The Rose of Versailles… and even more so,
that I would get to play the role of Andre. I’m also singing the songs. I’m
acting out all kinds of scenes from the original work…
The Rose of Versailles is portrayed as aesthetic, intelligent, and ephemeral, with modern-day images.
I’m really happy to be involved in a work that will be loved for all ages.

■アンドレ・グランディエ
ジャルジェ家に仕える、オスカルの従者かつ幼なじみ。母親が亡くなり、唯一の肉親の祖母マロンに育てられる。平民でありながらオスカルには幼い頃から友人として対等な関係を求められてきたため、祖母にたしなめられることが多い。
誕生から50年…その間、全く色褪せることなく愛され続けている『ベルサイユのばら』にフェルゼン役として参加させていただけるなんて身に余る光栄です。
ミュージカル作品でフランス革命に身を投じた経験のある身としては、このお話が決まった時は感慨深いものがありました。原作の名シーンはもちろん、新たに歌唱演出も加わり、現代の映像技術で令和の時代に新たな革命を起こす作品になっていると思います。ご期待ください！
■ハンス・アクセル・フォン・フェルゼン
スウェーデンの伯爵。容姿端麗で思慮深く知性的な青年で、オスカルを親友として慕う。パリ・オペラ座の仮面舞踏会で、異国の宮廷で孤独を深めるアントワネットと運命の出会いを果たす。
劇場アニメ『ベルサイユのばら』に参加させていただいて、華麗で重厚な世界観、オスカルやアントワネット、魅力的な人物たち…。
毎日素敵なばらにどっぷり浸かりながらお仕事ができ、ファンの 1 人としてとても幸せです。ありがとうございます。
この素晴らしい作品を上手く映像化できるように、スタッフ一同頑張って制作させていただいてます。
かつて原作を連載で読んでいた私には、オスカルさまは永遠の憧れで、『ベルサイユのばら』は何度読んでも胸が熱くなるバイブルです。
なので、脚本のオファーをいただいた時には、大げさではなく本当に夢のように幸せでした!
今はただただ映画の完成、そして公開が待ち遠しいです。
正直あの『ベルサイユのばら』という伝説的な作品に携わる日が来るなんて今でも信じられないという気持ちでいっぱいです。
毎日緊張と喜びの中で仕事をしています。
とにかく全てのものが描いていて楽しいです。
作品が持つ美しさと力強さをお届けできるようこだわりの強い監督とスタッフと共に引き続き全力を尽くします。
今回、劇場アニメ『ベルサイユのばら』の音楽プロデュースで参加いたします。
楽曲制作に取り掛かったのはかれこれ 4 年前になるのですが、これまで制作してきたアニメ作品の劇中歌などとは違う形でボーカル楽曲を多数制作するのは初の機会となりました。
また劇伴には KOHTA YAMAMOTO くんに参加して貰えた事で、作品のストーリーをよりエモーショナルにサウンドで広げて貰えたと感じています。ぜひ劇場で楽しんで頂ければ幸いです。
本作品の音楽を澤野弘之さんと一緒に担当させていただきます。
この偉大な作品に携わることができて興奮しています！
今回私は澤野さんの楽曲をリアレンジする形での制作が多かったのですが、そのどれもが素敵な楽曲ばかりで非常に楽しい制作でした。
楽曲達は形を変えて様々なシーンに散りばめられています。
