  • There are videos on YouTube of her growth since her debut and variety shows, and her dancing and singing are great.

During the Maten Rocket Girls’ Get-Together broadcast, a strong character named “Chihopon” was born.

Aki Takachiho is an important person who allows me to meet many different sides of Umeda. (Woman, 40s)

A boy who simply loved Beyblade overcomes setbacks, finds new friends, and as he practices, he discovers something he never knew existed and begins to enjoy Beyblade.

Umeda’s voice accurately expresses Bird’s emotions, as well as his quips and laughs, in keeping with his growth. I’m looking forward to seeing what he does next! (Woman, 20s)

・I first learned about Umeda Shuuichirou in an anime where he played the role of a high school freshman. His voice was a little higher than average, and still had a bit of a childish quality to it, which I thought suited the role very well. (Female, 20s)

The protagonist, Moritaro Tokumitsu, who lives alone in an apartment, is a high school boy who has a reliable side to him.

By chance, he ends up living with Towa, an angel who came from heaven to learn about humans. After that, Towa takes over most of the household chores and he starts teaching her various things about humans, and it’s nice to see them becoming closer.

In particular, in the final episode, Towa and Moritaro go to Skytree during summer vacation, which deepens the bond between them, making their relationship feel more like a romantic comedy, which was great.

“One Room, Normal Sunlight, With an Angel” is a really interesting story that depicts the various adventures of the characters, from their ordinary, boring daily lives to being with an angel, through romance, comedy, and other crazy adventures. (Male, 20s)

・I think it was a difficult role, but Umeda-san was a perfect fit for Makoto, and she played the role of Makoto, who is cute, kind, and lives life to the fullest, in a very charming way. I’m looking forward to the movie. (Woman, 40s)

・I am always impressed by how he plays the difficult role of a boy who likes cute things and dresses like a girl, and how he always acts so perfectly and seamlessly.

I was really drawn to his crying performance in the scene where he talks to Ryuji on the Ferris wheel. (Female, 20s)

・He put more of Makoto’s feelings into his lines than Makoto does, and his acting really showed how he was facing the character head on!

I really cried many times at Umeda-kun’s acting. Please continue to bring your wonderful acting to the world (woman in her 20s)

・I learned about Umeda-san by watching this anime.

I think Makoto Hanaoka is a calm and kind person. She likes cute things, and when she sees something cute, her face and voice are so cute that it soothes her heart.

However, his hobbies and love life did not go as planned, and it was painful for the viewers to feel emotionally involved. His emotions were expressed through his voice, and I thought that his acting conveyed Makoto’s true feelings very well. (Female, teens)

・While he likes cute things and girls’ clothes, he is also conflicted about having to behave like a boy because his mother wants him to. His emotions were conveyed well through his delicate performance. Therefore, his cross-dressing looks seemed more beautiful than cute.

The voice quality and acting style are neither too girly nor too masculine, which makes the character’s vacillation between man and woman seem more realistic. (Female, 20s)

・A boy who loves cute things. A kind, pure, caring, and cute boy. Because I have faced many things with Makoto and walked together with him, there is nothing strange about him as he is.

It’s a voice that only Umeda-san can express. I think it was only because of Umeda-san that we were able to bring Makoto-kun to life.

I couldn’t stop crying when I told him that I am not trapped in a world where I have to choose between being a boy or a girl, but am just who I am.

I was touched by every word that Umeda-san said. He is a truly wonderful voice actor. He is one of my favorite voice actors.

Thank you for spending this summer with me, Makoto Hanaoka. I’m looking forward to Valentine’s Day too! (Woman, 20s)
