The tour title seems to link with the single “Now On Air” released on Monday, May 1st, so we are intrigued. Animate Times will report on the live performance at Aichi Arts Center on June 23rd, the first day of the tour!
Ito’s live tour OP production always surprises the audience. In Live Tour 2022 “What a Sauce!”, he appeared on stage from the sky, and in Live Tour 2023 “Every Day is a Gift”, he appeared with dancers and neon lights of the tour name, like a musical revue. This tour was also one of the highlights, and the OP unique to this tour title will draw you in in a different way than before.
The first thing she said aside from singing was, with a big smile, “Welcome to ‘ITO MIKU LIVE TOUR 2024 ‘from now on’! Everyone in Nagoya! I’ve missed you!” By the way, it was raining heavily when she visited Nagoya City Public Hall on last year’s tour, but it was a relief to hear that it was only light rain on this day. And Ito-san has set a goal of “I hope it will be sunny at least one day of the tour.” Will she be able to overcome the adversity of touring during the rainy season, in addition to the power of her self-proclaimed “rain girl”? (laughs)
She will sing passionately while inciting the audience, make the audience’s hearts flutter with her cute voice and gestures in cute songs, and charm them with her well-coordinated dance with the “Mix Dancers” who have become familiar at live performances. Also, since it is the first day of the tour, there will be songs that she will sing on stage for the first time!
The visually enjoyable production is still alive and well. You can feel the intention from the video in the background to each spot. There are also effects and productions used for the first time in Ito’s live performance. “Usually I don’t talk about the production until the final, but this time it’s amazing so I’ll talk about it from the first day! Isn’t it amazing? I was surprised when I saw the real thing for the first time today,” said Ito, who was surprised by the result. Also, in the MC zone at the beginning, Ito said, “How was it? It was the climax from the beginning, right? You thought, ‘I never thought it would come like this?'” with a look of triumph.
The sight of her passionately singing a medium-tempo ballad in the spotlight was beautiful and warm. After the outro, she received a huge round of applause. The costume was also part of the fun, and when she showed everyone her outfit, saying “I think I’m sparkling right now,” she seemed happy to hear the crowd shout “Cute!”
Also, since they have only been allowed to shout out loud for a few tours so far, Ito seemed to enjoy the usual cheers of “Spin around!” from the audience at live shows, and she playfully spun around once, asking the audience “Can you say it again?” and then saying “I guess I have no choice if you say that much” (laughs).
When she asked the audience, “Are you enjoying yourself after all this time?” and heard the voices say, “It’s fun!”, she looked relieved and said, “That’s great! I’ve been thinking about how to make everyone enjoy themselves, but I’m nervous until the performance starts. So I think that hearing everyone say they’re having fun gives me, the staff, and the dancers a lot of confidence. But it’s not over yet, it’s only the first day!” Ito said with a satisfied look on her face. They sprinted all the way to the encore and finished the first day of the Aichi performance.
This tour also has a theme, and listening to the end of the encore, I can understand the intention behind each song, and the set list is simple and enjoyable, but also worth considering the story. Also, since they are carrying “Now On Air”, the performance, intermission video and production are like a message from Ito to the fans about his “now”.
For her 2022 tour, she said, “Thanks to everyone, I’ve been able to accept myself,” and for her 2023 tour, she said, “I can accept even the difficult days if I’m with everyone. I want to give to everyone the gift that has inspired me.” This concert was an extension of that, and also allowed us to see a new side of Miku Ito.
What kind of path will Ito take from his first visit to Miyagi, to the familiar Osaka, and finally to the final stop in Tokyo? And what does the title of this tour, “From Here Onwards,” mean? Come to the venue and experience it with all five senses.
