The TV anime of this work will start broadcasting on TBS affiliated 28 stations nationwide from 4:30 pm every Sunday from July 7, 2024!

Will enrolls in the magic academy to fulfill a promise he made as a child. However, he has a fatal weakness in a world where magic is supreme: he can’t use magic at all. Will uses his sword, which he is good at, to fight the walls and monsters that stand in his way. Will he be able to rise to the top of the tower at the top of the wizarding world?

In this article, to commemorate the start of the TV anime broadcast, we will be bringing you a roundtable discussion between Amasaki Kouhei, who plays the main character Will Selfort, Sekine Akiyoshi, who plays Elfaria Alvis Selfort, and Amano Satomi, who plays Colette Loire. Get a feel for the fun atmosphere of the work and the dubbing studio before it airs!

–You made a strange pose with your fingers during the photoshoot. What did that mean?

Amaksaki Kouhei, who plays Will Selfold (hereinafter referred to as Amaksaki): The three members of the comedy trio Patty-chan (Sugachan Saikou No.1, Kaneko Kyon-chie, and Nobuko) have been appointed as promotional ambassadors for “Wisteria,” and they came up with the “whisper” pose.

Publicity Manager: It seems to represent the “W” in “Wistoria.”

Amaki: I wasn’t taught that much (laughs). As for whether it’s better to do it on the left or right, Nobuko said (while imitating Nobuko), “You can do it on your favorite nail.” I’d love to make it popular, so please use it in various situations.

–So, please tell us what you felt was the appeal of the work after reading the original work and performing in it.

Amaki: The story written by Fujino Omori sensei is wonderful, and the illustrations by the manga artist, Sei Aoi, are also so beautiful that I found myself reading straight through to the end. It was such a wonderful piece.

Amano Satomi (Amano), voice of Colette Loire: The key scene was in the first 3-4 pages, and I was already drawn in from there. The battle scenes, which are the best part of the story, are dynamic, and the story is easy to understand but deep. Many characters appear in the first episode, but the relationships are clear and easy to understand, so I think it’s a work that anyone can easily get into.

Sekine Akira, who plays Elfaria Alvis Serfort (hereinafter referred to as Sekine): In preparation for the tape audition, I read the original work, and even though I had finished reading the parts necessary for the audition, I was so curious about what happened next that I couldn’t stop turning the pages, saying, “I want to read more!”
