From the fall anime “Kinokoinu”, episode 2 “Kinokoinu and Hanako” advance scene cuts and synopsis have arrived!The slightly mysterious everyday fantasy animation “Kinokoinu” based on the original comic (written by Aosei Kimama / published by Tokuma Shoten Comic Ryu) has sold over 1.75 million copies in total. The TV anime adaptation of the same work has been broadcast and distributed since October 3rd (Thursday).

This time, advance scene cuts and a synopsis have been released from episode 2, “The Mushroom Dog and Hanako.”

A while after Hotaru and Kinokoinu start living together, their childhood friend and editor, Komako, brings home Yara, the editor-in-chief’s son with a unique hairstyle.

He has long been a big fan of hotaru mushrooms and is an expert at a nearby mushroom research institute, but he says he has never seen an independent walking mushroom like this one.

The true identity of the mushroom dog remains a mystery, but Komako brings up the idea of doing some research for a new picture book, and Yara, who has come to visit again, goes on a walk with the three of them.

Due to various events that occur in their daily lives, we see a new side to Kinokoinu and a slight change in Hotaru’s expression…

Picture book author Yuyami Hotaru has lost her beloved dog, Hanako.

I was in the depths of dark sadness, unable to contain the regret I felt for not being able to do anything.

One day, I noticed pink mushrooms growing under the snow willow in the garden.

As he stares blankly, it suddenly springs to life, wagging its tail and coming over to him.

“Mushroom…dog?”

Although he has doubts, he decides to live with this mysterious creature, the mushroom dog.

He starts drawing in places he shouldn’t, eats all the melon bread and takoyaki, and just makes a mess and acts like he doesn’t care.

Hotaru’s expression gradually changes as she spends her days with Mushroom Dog, who also involves her childhood friend and editor Komako-chan, and Yayoshi-kun from the Mushroom Research Institute.
