This time, we have received a report on Day 2, which was held on the 11th (Sun). Appearances included voice actors from the Straw Hat Crew, including Mayumi Tanaka, Kazuya Nakai, and Akemi Okamura, as well as voice actors from Vegapunk, including Yohei Tadano, Shuhei Sakaguchi, and Aya Hirano. Ado and BE:FIRST also appeared at the live show, further livening up the venue.
Additionally, photos of the cast, staff, and artists who appeared at the event have been released.
This year, the third event was held to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the TV anime “ONE PIECE”, and “ONE PIECE DAY’24” was held for the first time at Makuhari Messe, with an expanded scale and split into two venues, an exhibition area and a live area. On the open stage in the exhibition area, various events were held with impressive guests, including a “THE ONE PIECE” production close-up stage, a UT × ONE PIECE special stage, a ONE PIECE card game special stage, the launching ceremony for the 6th “ONE PIECE Knowledge King Championship” Summit War contenders!!, and a public recording of the radio program “Mugiwara Space”.
Ado and BE:FIRST appeared in the last live area of DAY 2. Also, Maki Otsuki and Hiroshi Kitadani, who appeared again from DAY 1, livened up the venue with a special set list that warmed the hearts of “ONE PIECE” fans. Then, for the encore, the voice actors of the Straw Hat Pirates gathered on stage. Together with Hiroshi Kitadani and Maki Otsuki, they sang “Binks’ Sake” to bring the show to a moving finale.
In the “THE ONE PIECE” production close-up corner, the production staff of “THE ONE PIECE”, which was announced at “Jump Festa 2024” last December, was finally announced!
This new anime is based on the original manga “ONE PIECE” from the “East Blue Arc” and is scheduled to be distributed on streaming services such as “Netflix”. It is currently being produced by WIT STUDIO, which has worked on many hit anime such as “SPY×FAMILY” and “Attack on Titan”. WIT STUDIO has announced the main production staff and released Production Notes Vol.1 ~Staff Interview~.
Director Koizuka commented, “This time, all the staff are excited to be able to create a work from scratch. We will make it a work that can be enjoyed by both those who are new to ONE PIECE and those who love it, so please look forward to it.” This raised the expectations of the fans who had gathered at the venue.
The surprise that attracted the most attention from the audience on Day 2’s Open Stage was the Guinness World Record certification for the most number of DVD releases of the TV anime “ONE PIECE.”
The regular DVD for the TV anime “ONE PIECE” recently reached 300 volumes, and was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the “Most DVDs released of a serial anime TV programme.” A surprise announcement was made before the public recording of the Straw Hat Space, where a certification ceremony was held and Mayumi Tanaka, who plays Luffy, received the Guinness World Records certificate.
As part of a special project celebrating the 25th anniversary of the TV anime “ONE PIECE” in October 2024, a public recording of the radio program “Mugiwara Space” commemorating the 25th anniversary of the anime “ONE PIECE” and the 70th anniversary of Nippon Broadcasting System, which has been broadcast on Nippon Broadcasting System every Sunday from 1:00 am to 1:30 am since April, was held in front of fans on an open stage.
On this day, two radio programs, the ones that were broadcast on August 11th and 18th, were publicly recorded. On stage, 16 people in total, including 9 voice actors from the Straw Hat Crew and 7 voice actors from Vegapunk, gathered together for a dream collaboration. “Even if it’s just us recording, it’s like that (laughs). It was fun!” Hirano, who plays Lilith, commented, “It went by so quickly, so I wish they would call us, the voice actors of Vegapunk, during the regular broadcast,” and the recording ended with great success.
On Day 2, four artists appeared in the live area: Ado, BE:FIRST, Maki Otsuki, and Hiroshi Kitadani. Following Day 1, the venue, which accommodated about 6,000 people, was even more excited, and fans were filled with joy. The first to appear was Ado, who sang the singing part of the diva Uta in the movie “ONE PIECE FILM RED” two years ago. Uta started with a shout of “We’re going to get even more excited than yesterday!” The first song, “Backlight,” instantly heated up the venue, and the cheers reached a peak when the song “New Era,” the theme song of the movie, began. It was a stage that brought back memories of the work.
続くBE:FIRSTは、ONE PIECEカードゲームとのコラボレーションソング『Set Sail』を1曲目に披露し、会場に集まった『ONE PIECE」ファンの心を掴むと、次にハイブリッドHIP HOPダンスナンバーの『Boom Boom Back』を歌い、客席のボルテージを高めました。ラストには『Mainstream』を届け、圧巻のパフォーマンスで客席の心を鷲づかみに。パフォーマンス後には、BE:FIRSTがTVアニメ『ONE PIECE』の新エンディング主題歌を務めることが発表されました。
続いて登場した大槻マキは、25年前にスタートした『ONE PIECE』の初代エンディング『memories』と、新章『エッグヘッド編』のエンディング『Dear sunrise』を含めた名主題歌3曲を力強く歌い上げました。トリを飾ったきただにひろしは、観客に「ありったけの愛を込めて歌いたいと思います！ 明日のことは忘れて喉を壊して帰りましょう！ 最後は、もちろんこの曲！ ウィーアー！」と呼びかけると、たくさんのファンで埋め尽くされた会場がオールスタンディングで拳を掲げ、大きな一体感に包まれました。
そして、感動のフィナーレを締めくくる、アンコールではサプライズで麦わらの一味声優陣、田中真弓(ルフィ)、中井和哉(ゾロ)、岡村明美(ナミ)、山口勝平(ウソップ)、平田広明(サンジ)、大谷育江(チョッパー)、山口由里子(ロビン)、チョー(ブルック)、宝?克寿(ジンベエ)がステージ上に登場。会場からは大歓声が注がれました。
ブルック役のチョーが「海賊の歌と言えば、この曲『ビンクスの酒』！ヨホホホ?」と高らかに叫び、きただにひろし、さらに大槻マキと共に『ビンクスの酒』を熱唱。フロアから手拍子が沸き起こりました。
歌唱後のMCでは、ルフィ役の田中真弓が「仲間が一人、都合がつかなかったので、みんなでフランキーの『スーパー』をやらない？」と提案し、観客と一体となって『スーパー！』と唱和。そして最後に、「今日来てくれたお前たちはおれたちの仲間だ～！！」と雄叫びを上げ、2日間に渡って行われたすべての『ONE PIECE』ファンに捧ぐ祭典『ONE PIECE DAY?24』は、幕を閉じました。
