The “Dream Studio” is a movie studio-like place in Riley’s head, which also appeared in “Inside Out,” and creates the dreams that Riley sees while sleeping. Every night, Paula, the master director of the dream studio, has to reevaluate her own career as a director as Riley’s dreams change dramatically as she grows up.
So Paula teams up with Zeni, a vain director looking for his next big break. With differing visions for how to bring Riley’s “wonderful dream” to life, can the two work together to create a teen blockbuster that’s fitting for the grown-up Riley?
The English subtitled version features voice actors such as Amy Poehler (Joy), Kensington Tallman (Riley), Liza Lapira (Disgust), Tony Hale (Scary), Lewis Black (Anchor), and Phyllis Smith (Sadness), as well as an all-star cast of actors who are also active as actors, such as Maya Rudolph (Cath Hamada in Big Hero 6) and Ally Maki (Giggle McDimples in Toy Story 4).
The script and direction will be by Mike Jones, whose work includes “Soul” and the “Incredibles” series, and the producer will be Jacquelyn Simon, whose work includes “Brave,” “Up,” and “Inside Out.”
