Subtitle PA006: A story about marriage and happiness

Shuna is married to the first man she has ever fallen in love with, but is troubled by a certain problem in her married life. Sori is a single woman who spent her student years during the employment ice age and envies the younger generation for having more options in life. Dorim is newly married, but worries about his productivity as a husband for a certain reason. And Aqua is suffering from a sense of loss after losing her partner of 30 years. The four of them clash over their differences in their positions and generations, while discussing their thoughts on marriage and deepening their thoughts about what makes them happy.

Subtitle PA007: Stories of “failure” that can’t be told to others

Shinji is a graduate student attending a prestigious private university who laments that “my life is a series of failures.” Riva is a game creator who has a complex about his academic background. Mar hit rock bottom in life due to “a certain incident,” but made up his mind and became an administrative scrivener. He still continues to face “a certain mistake” he made in the past. On the way to the moon, the four of them talk about their inner thoughts and deepen their understanding. However, for some reason, Shinji is the only one who feels more and more isolated. Will the four of them be able to understand each other?

Subtitle PA008: Teenagers’ School Trip

Ramune, 19, developed a panic disorder and spent three years as a recluse. Puchi, 15, developed depression and body dysmorphic disorder in the fifth grade of elementary school, and is now unable to go outside without makeup. Maruhachi, 19, developed generalized anxiety disorder, skipped school for three years, and is now in her fourth year of high school. What realizations will they gain from interacting with people their age who share the same pain, and with senior aliens who have appeared in previous shows? Matsumura Sayuri will be the guide.

Each person has their own worries, their positions and beliefs are different, and even though they are overwhelmed with their own issues, I was moved by the way they still “have to relate to others.” The words that resonated in the VR space felt like a radio letter, and hearing their honest views on marriage was beneficial for me, and I also empathized with the idea that “it hurts when everyone gets hurt,” and more than anything, I was touched by the sight of “teenagers” coming together to support each other as they deal with their own troubles.

I hope people will take a moment to watch this film and take a break from their busy schedules. As I was narrating, I wondered if the words they heard at that moment would change the color of their lives.

This time, I played the role of Moon Rabbit, a character who supervised the teenagers, and it reminded me a little of my teenage years. I think I was worried about the same things, and even though I felt tired, I wanted to look forward and live. It made me feel like I have to try harder now too. I was surprised at how beautiful the VR space was, and I think it’s great to be able to vent all the frustrations that you normally can’t express to someone you don’t know.

With so many people feeling like life is difficult, I want people to realize that there is not just one world, but that there is many different worlds.

The lyrics I write are introspective, and I tend to write about the pain and sadness of living, but I’m conscious of making the songs pop. I feel that I can relate to the worldview of this show, and I think that the connection between people’s hearts is like “magic” for better or worse. It’s not eternal, but there are certainly moments when we can share, and I wrote it with the message that we want to believe, even though they may one day come apart. I hope that the aliens who feel lonely will be courageous after watching the show, just as they return to their respective places with some expectations and hopes for humans.
