This exhibition will look back on the history of the series and the thoughts of its fans through various “things” used in collaboration projects with companies and local governments, and “things” that “Evangelion” has done. There will also be a sales booth where you can purchase limited edition goods, a collaboration cafe called “Famous Quotes Cafe,” and much more!
Prior to the public opening, a preview for the media was held on Thursday, September 12th. During the preview, Yasuhiro Kamimura, representative of Groundworks, which is involved in this expo, and Hina Noro, an official reporter for Eva Info, discussed the highlights of the expo in a gallery talk.

The 8th venue, “EVANGELION CROSSING EXPO – The Great Evangelion Exhibition – Tokyo Triumphal Return”, will be held in Tokyo for the first time in two years. The exhibition will bring together all the products and projects that have shaped the “culture” of “Evangelion”, allowing visitors to look back on the chronicle of the work and the experiences of fans.
First, visitors are greeted by the “Spear of Longinus,” which is over 3 meters tall, and a giant Unit 01, which are on display for the first time at Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance. Next, there are displays of familiar goods that are inseparable from the work, such as plastic models, prize items, and figurines.
In the main area, the entirety of the venue, including the walls and ceiling, is used to display all the “things” that have been exhibited up to now. In the curated area, which is displayed across three rows, Kamimura’s favorite rare goods and products are lined up in a small space.
There was also a booth for “EVANGELION RACING,” in which Hina Noro participated as a race queen. This unique project, which is not cosplay, has been gaining popularity.
This sculpture was created by mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita. It depicts scissors in the colors of Unit 01, Unit 00, and Unit 02 cutting through space, and Kamimura says it’s “a great invention that gives the feel of the work to an object without using illustrations or characters from the work.” It is the origin of many of the goods released so far that can be recognized as “Evangelion” just by looking at the colors and font, and represents the power and generosity of the work itself.
There will also be 17 types of “Evangelion” pachinko machines on display at the venue! Looking back at the past machines, you might even be able to relive your own memories!
The collaborative product exhibition area with companies and local governments was also spectacular! The exhibition was overwhelming with the power of “Evangelion” that crosses various regions, industries, and other works. From apparel to collaborative T-shirts and carp streamers, there are many products that could only be found in “Evangelion”. There is sure to be a special item that you have owned on display!
The shop space “EVANGELION STORE” also has a great selection of goods. “Evangelion Expo” includes this space, which is filled with Roppongi-exclusive goods, reprinted goods, and new products! The products on display at the venue are also on display, so this is your chance to purchase any goods that catch your eye at the exhibition!
A collaboration café will be held with the theme of famous lines, one of the charms of the series! A variety of menu items that convey the love for the series, with a focus on color and shape, will be sold, allowing you to immerse yourself in the world of the work. If you order a collaboration drink, you will also receive a novelty item, a “Famous Lines Cafe Special Coaster”. A food truck is also scheduled to be set up outside the venue.
