“Chibi Maruko-chan” is based on the manga serialized in “Ribon” by Momoko Sakura. The story is set in Shimizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and depicts the fun, funny, and at times poignant daily life of Maruko, a third-year elementary school student who is the second daughter of the Sakura family living there, and her family and friends.
“Kojikoji” is also based on a manga written by Momoko Sakura. This series was popular for its fairy-tale-like worldview, connotative words and nonsense gags that even adults would be surprised by, and was aired as a TV anime from 1997 to 1999.
A total of 6 types of collaboration socks are available. All sizes range from 22.5 to 24.5 cm and come in three colors.
“’Chibi Maruko-chan” face all over pattern socks” have Maruko with various expressions placed all over them, and have a cute design with rabbits placed on the toes. The price is 1,430 yen each.
“‘Chibi Maruko-chan’ Nasen Socks” are textile-printed socks. The back of the low gauge socks are printed with different patterns for each base color, making it a one-of-a-kind item that makes it hard to decide which one to choose. The price is 1,760 yen each.
“‘Chibi Maruko-chan’ Embroidered Socks” are Amerib socks with different embroidery on the left and right sides on the back. On the left is a back view of Maruko and a cat, and on the right is a line that is typical of Maruko, saying, “Atashanasanaiyo.” The price is 1,980 yen each.
“’Kojikoji’ all-over face pattern socks” have Teruko sneaking into her toes, which is a great feature for fans. The price is 1,430 yen each. “‘Kojikoji’ Nasen Socks” also has a lineup of different patterns for each base color. The price is 1,760 yen each.
The Koji-Koji'' embroidered socks have a unique design with the back of a flying Koji-Koji on the left and a speech bubble that says Byun” on the right. The price is 1,980 yen each (all tax included).
