The second season of the anime series, “Blue Lock VS. U-20 JAPAN,” has been airing on TV Asahi’s nationwide “IMAnimation” slot every Saturday since October 5th.
A non-credit opening video featuring the opening theme song “Hokowaku no Charisma” by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN has been released.
This video is the hottest opening video in the history of soccer anime, with the characters’ egos overflowing at every turn.
As the video begins, the Egoists run through countless chains. Then, as an Egoist appears tearing apart the chains, the screen switches to Rin’s perspective.
From Rin’s perspective, the story depicts her journey with Sae and their past when they parted ways, then the screen switches again to a match between “Blue Lock” and the U-20 Japan National Team.
Then, artistic oil painting-style images begin to depict the match between the “Blue Lock” eleven players and the U-20 Japan National Team.
Among them are egocentric and passionate scenes that become turning points in the match between “Blue Lock” and Japan’s SU-20 national team, such as the scene where Rin, who is enveloped in the aura of the incarnation of ego, approaches Sae with a terrifying expression, and the scene where Kiyoshi confronts Aika.

the Japan Football Association launches the “Blue Lock” project.
300 high school students were invited to the project,
all of whom were forwards .
In the extreme situation where dropping out would mean losing their eligibility to join the Japanese national soccer team in the future,
the selected talented players one by one awaken their egos as strikers.
35 people survived the harsh selection process, sometimes by kicking others down and sometimes by evolving themselves.
