Harmoe, a unit consisting of Iwata Haruki and Koizumi Moeka, has completed their 3rd LIVE TOUR “ii’m here”! A space filled with music, stories, and “I” [Live Report]Harmoe, a unit consisting of Iwata Haruki and Koizumi Moeka, will hold their 3rd LIVE TOUR “ii’m here” from September 8th at three locations. With the theme of “i” and “love”, each song tells a story that is imagined through electro sound, song, dance, and video. The stage was filled with “i”.

In this article, we will report on the tour’s final performance at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL on September 16, 2024.

Harmoe is a unit formed in December 2020 by actresses and voice actors Iwata Hiyori and Koizumi Moeka, and debuted in March 2021 with “Kimagure Tick-tock.” With the concept of “music and stories walking together,” the unit sings and dances to an electronic sound, and each song has a fairy tale motif, making them a rare unit.

This live show was a tour to promote their second full album “radii” released in June. The concept of “radii” is “a story about a person who has a firm “self” and goes in search of “i” = “love” with “others”. Anyone can talk about love, but love is so big that no one can fully explain what it is. After coming into contact with many different love stories, harmoe discovered that what is the love that exists between just two people…?” (from the official website). The live show was connected to that concept and story.

The monitor in the center of the stage displayed the word “LOVE” and the familiar harmoe icon. When the lights went out, a prologue-like live version of “BiRTH,” the first song on “radii,” started playing, and the venue was lit up with glow sticks in two colors: Iwata’s image color, blue, and Koizumi’s image color, green.

As the heartbeat and music box sounds overlapped, photos of various landscapes were projected one after another, and when the sound stopped, the two appeared at the top of the stage. The first song they sang was “Love is a potion,” which is based on the concept of “Snow White.”

Not only were their mysterious singing voices and pop electro sound great, but their dance was also original, with Koizumi wrapping her arms around Iwata from behind, fluttering her hands from both sides, and standing back to back, each pinching the hem of their own skirt. At the end, the two stood side by side in a cute pose, clasping their hands together in the middle and holding their free hands on their cheeks.

The BPM sped up for the second song, and as the intro to “Colorful x Joyful,” based on the concept of Winnie the Pooh, started playing, Iwata shouted, “Everyone! Welcome to harmoe’s live show! Let’s have fun and have fun,” and eight dancers, each in different colored costumes, joined them.

The ten of them lined up in a row, forming a V shape around the two of them, and each of them performed a great dance. The fans also waved their glow sticks during the chorus and D-melody, creating a call-and-response atmosphere that was truly “colorful x joyful.” At the end, the ten of them gave a thumbs up.

The next piece, “Okey◎Dokey!” (meaning “Okey Dokey”, OK, OK) is based on the concept of the seven dwarfs from “Snow White”, and features a comical orchestra. It’s fun to see the pair express each of the seven dwarfs through their singing and dancing. Partway through, the pace slows down and the singing and expressions become more relaxed. From there, the piece speeds up and down again, just like a roller coaster.

The song “Twins Heart Beat,” written and composed by voice actor Hibiki Yamamura, is based on the Grimm fairy tale “Two Brothers,” and the lyrics “No matter what fate we have, it’s just a little bit” fit the two good friends perfectly. The fans’ calls of “The strongest twin’s heart” and “Saikyo no Twins Bee” doubled their courage.

When the stage was clear, the instrumental version of “SiGNAL” started playing, and four white spherical lights came down and then rose up. Then a lot of lit candles were projected on the monitor, and white smoke rose from the stage floor. “My Secret” was based on the concept of “Aladdin,” and while singing about a sad unrequited love, the two of them wore bright red dresses and the four dancers wore pure white shirts, creating a vivid contrast. The sound was interesting, with a Charleston-like feel, and the contemporary dance performed by the dancers was also eye-catching.

From the outro, we seamlessly transitioned into “Night Before.” The song is about love, but it’s passionate, like the story of a knight who saved a princess and gave her a red rose that bloomed from the blood of a dragon. The words are carved and sung in a flowing manner, as if expressing fluctuating emotions. Fireworks were projected on the monitor, and Iwata kicked it high up.

Without a break from the next song, they went straight into “Anti-Client.” The song is based on Jafar, the evil minister of state who is after the magic lamp in “Aladdin and the Magic Lamp,” and the melody is Arabian-style dubstep. It features sampled sounds and heavy bass, and the duo’s singing voices are strong and wild. After the duo left the stage, there was a dance corner with eight dancers. The audience naturally started clapping along to the music, and when they struck a cool pose, cheers of “whoosh!” erupted.
