The official report of this live event has now arrived.
On the day of the show, Yaginuma Satoshi was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was forced to cancel his appearance, but the two vocalists, Uesugi Mao and Abe Toshiyo, seemed to dispel any fears and did their best to liven up the stage, making the concert a huge success.
A total of 22 songs were performed at the live concert, including the encore. Covers of popular songs from the first and second seasons, as well as solo songs by Mao Uesugi and Toshiyo Abe were also performed.
What was felt throughout the concert was the strength of their live performance, which makes use of their twin vocal style that is particularly evident in their covers, and the devastating power of the songs that creator Yaginuma Satoshi has been spinning for around 20 years, even in his absence.
The expressive structure and emotionally charged melodies of every song performed were a masterpiece, and it was particularly impressive to see the audience cheering in unison for Yaginuma Satoshi, whose performance was unfortunately cancelled.
On the day, information was also announced about the 4th nationwide live house tour that will start in the fall. In addition, fripSide will collaborate with Nanjo Yoshino, who was the vocalist for the second season, to perform the opening theme for the currently airing TV anime “Miss Yozakura’s Great Mission.”
The song is titled “Secret Operation” and is scheduled to be aired on the broadcast on July 21, 2024.
