Satou Kazuma, a shut-in who loves games, was supposed to have his life ended abruptly in a traffic accident (!?), but due to an unexpected turn of events, he is reincarnated into another world, taking the goddess Aqua with him.

“Enjoy the life of an adventurer you’ve always dreamed of in a different world that’s like an RPG game! Aim to become a hero!” Kazuma’s excitement was short-lived, as troubles soon befall him in his reincarnated life.

He ends up forming a party with three incredibly unfortunate people who are highly capable but unsuccessful – Aqua, a trouble-making goddess; Megumin, a magician with a severe case of chunibyo; and Darkness, a female knight with a non-stop delusion. He also finds himself drowning in debt, is put on trial for alleged treason, defeats the Demon King’s army executives, and occasionally dies…

One day, after returning from the Crimson Demon Village, Kazuma and his friends receive a letter.

The letter says that Princess Iris wants to hear about Kazuma and his friends’ adventure after defeating the Demon King’s executives.

Princess Iris visits the city of Axel accompanied by her bodyguards and instructors Claire and Rain, and just when she thought her meeting with Kazuma and his party had ended peacefully…
