Natsume, who spends his days busy dealing with humans and spirits,

accidentally meets his old classmate, Yuki, and is reminded of bitter memories related to spirits.

Around this time, Natsume makes the acquaintance of Tsumura Yorie, a woman who appeared in the memory of the spirit whose name he returned.

She knows about Reiko, and now lives peacefully with her only son, Mukuo.

Natsume’s heart warms as he interacts with them.

However, it seems that a mysterious spirit is lurking in the town where the parents and son live.

On the way back from investigating this, the “seed of a spirit” that was attached to Nyanko-sensei’s body

grows into a tree overnight and bears fruit in the Fujiwara family’s garden.

Nyanko-sensei eats the fruit, which is somewhat similar to himself, and

is split into three!
