“Haikyu!!” Anime 10th Anniversary Project Starts! “Connect” by holding exhibitions and selling commemorative goodsTo commemorate the 10th anniversary of the broadcast of the TV anime “Haikyu!!”, the “Anime “Haikyu!!” 10th Anniversary – Connecting Project” has been launched. We will connect our works with fans through various projects such as holding a 10th anniversary exhibition and selling commemorative goods.

Along with the announcement, a commemorative logo and the first commemorative visual were released. Congratulatory illustrations and messages from the original author, Haruichi Furudate, Ayumu Murase, who plays Shoyo Hinata, and Kaito Ishikawa, who plays Tobio Kageyama, have also arrived.

Haikyu!!'' by Haruichi Furudate began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump” in February 2012. This is a monumental sports manga that gained popularity as a passionate youth drama about high school students competing in volleyball. The eight-and-a-half-year series was completed in July 2020, and the cumulative circulation of all 45 comics has exceeded 60 million copies. The TV anime, which began broadcasting on Mainichi Broadcasting and TBS in 2014, has become a very popular series that has attracted many fans and viewers until the 4th season of the series, “Haikyu!! TO THE TOP”.

Also, on February 16th of this year, “Haikyu the Movie!! Battle at the Garbage Dump” was released nationwide. The film got off to a rocket start, grossing 2.23 billion yen and attracting 1.52 million viewers in its first three days. In the 42 days since its release, the movie has grossed 8.26 billion yen and attracted 5.22 million viewers, and is still a big hit.

For this work, April 6th marks the memorable day when the first season of the anime was aired 10 years ago. Ten years later, on April 6, 2024, the Anime Haikyu!! 10th Anniversary will be held as an anniversary project to connect fans and the anime Haikyu!!, with the theme of connecting. “Connect Project” has started.

First of all, we will be introducing a luxuriously designed logo befitting the 10th anniversary, as well as the first “‘Connecting’ School Visuals” drawn by characters from the major schools, including Shoyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, and Nekoma from Karasuno High School. High schoolers Kozume Hijiri and Kuroo Tetsuro have been revealed. This “‘Connecting’ School Visual” is scheduled to be released one after another in the future.

In addition, a special exhibition called “Haikyu!! Anime 10th Anniversary Exhibition All Senses EXHIBITION” will be held, where you can “experience” this work through an immersive and realistic experiential exhibition. TOHO animation STORE has started selling 10th anniversary goods such as high school jerseys, uniforms, and banner face towels.

A finale event is planned for 2025 as the final fireworks display for the 10th anniversary. It is said that various plans will be developed throughout the year for fans to enjoy the 10th anniversary festival together, so keep an eye out for future updates.
