This year, the fifth event will be held online on Monday, September 16, 2024 (national holiday), and will feature the announcement of new information about Aniplex’s popular and new anime, as well as live performances by a number of impressive artists.
In conjunction with the “AOF2024” event, Animate Times will be bringing you information on popular anime titles that will be participating in the event.
The eighth episode is “mono,” written by Afro, who sparked the camping boom with his masterpiece “Laid-Back Camp△,” and centers around high school girls in the Cinephoto Club!
This manga, titled “How to Have Fun This Weekend,” which captures the scenery of Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and the daily lives of the girls in the Cinephoto Club, will be featured at AOF2024.
“Aniplex Online Fest” is an online festival where you can enjoy the latest information on Aniplex anime and live performances by a lineup of amazing artists, completely free of charge. This is the fifth time the festival is being held, and in addition to “Blue Exorcist” and “Only I Level Up,” which have sequels scheduled for production, it has been decided that anime to be developed in the future will also participate, and we will deliver new information on Aniplex’s popular anime with even more power.

“mono” is a popular four-frame manga by Afro , currently being serialized in Houbunsha’s “Manga Time Kirara Carat”.
Afro, who sparked the camping boom with her representative work “Yurucamp△,” which was also made into an anime and a live-action film, has created a “manga about how to have fun this weekend” that centers around high school girls who belong to the “Cinephoto Club,” a combination of the Photography Club and the Film Studies Club.
Using a variety of techniques, including filming with a 360° panoramic camera and
a pseudo-drone with a camera attached to a kite, the film
captures the scenery, mainly of Kofu City in Yamanashi Prefecture, and the daily lives of these women.
Aniplex and Houbunsha, the team behind many animated works such as “Hidamari Sketch” and “Bocchi the Rock!”, have joined forces with the up-and-coming Studio Soine to bring the film to fruition.
The staff
includes director Ryota Aike (Jujutsu Kaisen: Kaitama-Gamaori/Shibuya Incident), character designer Takuya Miyahara (Asteroid in Love), and series composition by Yoko Yonayama (Yubisaki to Renren). A group of creators who are currently in the spotlight have come together
to create this work .
