On the first day of the release, a special stage greeting was held at Shinjuku Wald 9. The cast members, including Terashima Junta (voice of Ichijo Shin), Igarashi Masashi (voice of Takahashi Minato), Aoi Shouta (voice of Kisaragi Louis), and Kobayashi Tatsuyuki (voice of Takadanobaba George GS/Ikebukuro Ace), along with Director Hishida Masakazu, took to the stage.
On Friday, August 16th, the first day of the release of the movie “KING OF PRISM -Dramatic PRISM.1-“, a special stage greeting was held with the all-star cast. In addition to the four cast members, Terashima Junta (voice of Ichijo Shin), Igarashi Miyabi (voice of Takahashi Minato), Aoi Shouta (voice of Kisaragi Louis), and Kobayashi Tatsuyuki (voice of Takadanobaba George GS/Ikebukuro Ace), general director Hishida Masakazu also rushed to Shinjuku Wald 9 to appear on stage.
The audience, still excited from having just finished watching this commemorative film marking the long-awaited full-scale reboot of the series, immediately erupted in loud applause and cheers.
First, Terashima greeted the audience, saying, “Sorry to have kept you waiting, everyone!” Then, Igarashi called out, “Welcome back, everyone!”, to which the audience responded with a loud, “We’re back!”
Next, Aoi kindly addressed the audience, saying, “We finally got to meet,” and Kobayashi excited the venue by saying, “Are you all having fun?”
The general director then gave a speech, saying, “I’m Hishida Masakazu, the new general director,” and the stage greeting began.
When the MC asked Hishida how he became “general director” for this production, Hishida replied that the title was given to him from this production because he is responsible for a variety of tasks beyond that of a director, and he shared the inside story of how he was appointed “general director,” saying, “At first, it was suggested that I become ‘commander in chief.'”
When asked about his impressions of the film, Terashima reflected on the reboot of King & Prince after a four-year hiatus, saying, “King & Prince is something I can’t put into words. I could feel that this is what King & Prince is like right from the start.”
Igarashi also talked about the new “CM” that was inserted this time, and got very excited, saying, “What is this commercial? It’s great!”, so excited was Igarashi’s love for King & Prince that the general director had to stop him, saying, “One length! One length!!”
Aoi continued, “I was happy to be able to see everyone’s Prism Shows again. I felt that the emotion and love of the show with Shin was present in Rui’s Prism Show,” expressing her thoughts unique to the character she plays in the series.
Kobayashi reminisced about his memories with King & Prince, saying, “I’ve always loved King & Prince, and I went to cheer screenings even before I was chosen to play the role,” and then mentioned the long-awaited Takadanobaba George Prism Show, saying, “George’s CG has arrived!” The audience responded to his joyful shouts with loud applause.
Although the director expressed his unique feelings by saying, “I’m only anxious from the time it’s completed until it’s screened,” he also touched on a new scene in the film and expressed his thoughts about the movie, saying, “I’m glad it made people laugh.”
During the talk, the question “How many of you are coming to see King & Prince for the first time?” was asked, and the audience responded. The cast members were all smiles when they heard that this film was King & Prince’s debut, with a ton of new CG, new scenes, and new jumps, as well as footage from “KING OF PRISM -Shiny Seven Stars-“. It was full of fun for both existing fans and those experiencing the series for the first time.
The topic then turned to the ending theme song for this film, “LINK WORLD.” When asked about his memories of recording it, Terashima said, “It’s a song that’s full of King & Prince-esque elements. It’s been a few years since I last sang as Shin, but as soon as I heard the song, the feeling came back.”
Igarashi once again spoke with great excitement, saying, “When I first heard the song, I thought, ‘This is King & Prince!'” Also, when asked about the “fake preview” (a preview-like video for the next work that has not yet been decided), which has become a King & Prince tradition, Aoi and Kobayashi looked at each other with excitement, saying, “What’s that!? It’s a sure thing.” The talk corner ended with the audience expressing their expectations after Aoi revealed the secret about the “fake preview.”
Finally, Kobayashi commented to the audience, “Let’s continue to spread the sparkle of your prisms all over the world!”
Aoi said, “I feel like I’ve finally received everyone’s love after four years,” and the audience responded with applause.
Igarashi called out, “Let’s all become the core of this event and make it even more exciting!”, receiving a loud and powerful response from the audience.
総監督も「再始動として動き始めたこの作品。この先どうなるかは皆さんにかかっていると思っています。もっともっと煌めきを広めて頂ければ」と呼びかけました。
そして寺島が本作恒例となっている“嘘予告”に言及しながら、「22世紀を待たずしてまた皆さんとハグできた。あの嘘予告を本当にしたいだろー！」と観客に呼びかけると、会場は溢れんばかりの声援で埋め尽くされました。最後は「Music Ready Sparking!」といつものコール＆レスポンスで締めくくられ、、温かな雰囲気で舞台挨拶が終了しました。
