On Saturday, August 10th, a cheering screening was held at the Go-On Theater in TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro, where attendees were welcome to bring cheering goods such as applause, cheers, cosplay, stuffed animals, penlights, and noisemakers, and the event was a huge success.
Due to popular demand, additional support screenings will be held in Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, and Fukuoka on Saturday, August 17th.
Following the huge success of the support screening held at TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro’s Go-on Theater on Saturday, August 10th, it has been decided that additional screenings will be held in four cities across the country – Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, and Fukuoka – on Saturday, August 17th.
Tickets for the previous cheering screening were sold out within a few hours of going on sale, proving the enthusiasm of the eager fans. On the day, many fans were seen dressed up as medicine sellers, and many brought homemade fans and penlights.
During the screening, there was a sense of unity with the audience, with shouts of “Ready, set, go!” as Asa and Kame took their first steps into the Ooku, reactions of “Looks delicious!!” to the smell effects, the festival call of “Yoisho!” during Asa’s highlight, and when the sliding doors closed and the “xxth day” sign appeared, the entire audience shouted “xxth day!” in unison. The audience also erupted in cheers when the medicine seller appeared, and when he said his catchphrase, “I would like to hear everyone’s truth and reason,” the theater erupted in loud applause, creating a very lively performance from start to finish.
As with the previous screening, the additional cheering screening will allow cheering goods such as applause, cheers, cosplay, stuffed animals, penlights, and musical instruments (limited to den-den drums, bells, maracas, tambourines, balloons filled with beads, castanets, and windpipes). Enjoy the gorgeous images and powerful sound on the big screen of the theater, cheering on the characters including the medicine seller and Shingi, festival calls of “Yoisho!”, and battle lines such as “Unleash!” and “Flash!”, and liven up the atmosphere with your own cheers.
In addition, just like the last time, a special bonus for attendees of the support screening will be distributed: “Mob Maid Spinning Face Masks.” They will be available in five random colors: black, blue, green, yellow, and red, which represent the facial colors of the mob maids that appear in the film. When the mob maids appear in the film, place the mask over your face and experience the feelings of a maid immersed in the Ooku.
