A poster visual has been released for “Voltes V Legacy” featuring the special move “Tenkuuken V-ji Slash”!The Japanese TV anime “Super Electromagnetic Machine Voltes V,” which has been broadcast since 1977, has been adapted into a live-action film in the Philippines, where it has received enthusiastic support after nearly half a century. To commemorate its triumphant return to Japan, the “Super Electromagnetic Edited Version” of the film “Voltes V Legacy,” which has been produced by the Philippine production team and further improved on the quality of the highly praised CG, will be released on Friday, October 18, 2024.

This time, a poster visual created by Itia Oshima and Naochika Morishita has been released, depicting Voltes V unleashing his special move “Tenkuuken V no Jigiri” and a logo that inherits the genes of the original anime. Comments from the two have also arrived.

Voltes V is so intricately drawn that it seems as if it could start moving at any moment, and has a solid steel feel to it. He unleashes his “Sky Sword V-shaped slash” to defeat his enemies.

With Voltes V in the center, the illustration encapsulates the momentum of the work, featuring all the characters and mecha lined up, including the main character Steve and the other five members of the Voltes team, the Boazan aliens led by Prince Zardoz, the Bolt Machine before it combines into Voltes V, the base’s Big Falcon, the enemy flagship Skarlook, and its fighting force, the Beast Fighters.

The frame surrounding the illustration is made up of the key colors of Voltes V, and the wear and tear reminiscent of a toy box that has been cherished for many years represents the trajectory of this work, which was made into a live-action film after half a century.

The logo, which was unveiled at the same time, was inspired by the logo used in the original anime’s eye-catches (the scenes before and after commercials), but has been evolved to resemble Voltes V, with modern elements added using CG.

The poster visual, which is full of “love for Voltes V,” is complete and is filled with the “respect for the original work” that the Filipino production team was particular about, and conveys the charm of this work to the fullest.

The design was done by Itia Oshima, who has worked mainly on graphics for films such as “Shoplifters,” “Midsommar,” and “Look Back,” as well as designing exhibition promotional materials and books. The illustrations were done by Naochika Morishita, who has worked on many Gundam model packaging illustrations and robot trading card illustrations. Comments have also arrived from both of them.

With the help of the perfect Voltes painting by Naochika Morishita, we captured a giant “V” full of love that flew in from the Philippines.

I put my heart and soul into this drawing so that all Voltes V fans can enjoy it. Enjoy looking at the whole picture from a distance, or getting up close and scrutinizing the details!
