The teaser visual released shows Abe no Seimei, a weak-willed human teacher, running at full speed as he tries to escape. Behind him, the sadistic plague god Sano no Mikoto appears, smashing through the blackboard, carrying the miniature raccoon monster Tanukizuka Mamekichi on his back. Surrounding Seimei in such a pinch are the zashiki-warashi Zashiki Beniko, Gashadokuro Utagawa Kuniko, Shuten-doji Miki Rintaro, the kamaitachi monster Hatanaka Izuna, and the principal of Hyakki Academy, giving the impression of the beginning of a chaotic and fun school life.
He’s a clumsy new human teacher who has just been appointed to Hyakki Academy. He teaches Japanese. Apparently he’s a descendant of Abe no Seimei, an onmyouji from the Heian period. He’s a total pervert who loves uniforms, and his trademark is his ahoge.

Osaka : Seimei is a former recluse teacher who hates delinquents. At first he is timid and has no dignity as a teacher, but as he interacts with his students, his natural kindness also comes into play and he becomes a lovable character… I think lol

–In keeping with the title “I’ve Started,” tell us about something you’ve started recently.
Osaka : I’ve become so obsessed with motorcycles in the last year that it might be dangerous. At first, I just thought of them as a means of transportation, but the more I watch videos, the more I like them. It’s motorcycle season now, so I want to go to different places.
The series will be written by Deko Akao, character design by Natsuki, animation by Satelight, and directed by Katsumi Ono.

I am extremely happy to be given the opportunity to direct the TV anime “I Started Teaching at a Yokai School!”
It’s a rare piece that is based on the theme of yokai but is also a comedy, so I’m having a lot of fun making it.
The characters are very unique and I think it’s a title that you won’t often see anywhere else.
Everyone on set is having fun making this, so I hope that we can share that same joy with everyone.
This is a comedy anime that I’ve always wanted to do, so I’ll do my best at it!
