Jun Shirasaki and the Jinguji sisters, Rumi and Naori, are childhood friends who have been together since they were little and have been like family ever since they were little. The relationship between the three of them, who have been interacting without having any specific relationship, changes one day into a twisted love triangle with one word uttered by Rumi.
To commemorate the broadcast, we conducted an email interview with the cast! After the broadcast of the fourth episode, we asked Maaya Uchida, who plays Naori Jinguji, to look back on the episode.
–The beginning of the first episode depicted Jun, Rumi, and Naori from their first meeting to their elementary school days. What were your thoughts on seeing the relationship between the three at this time?
Maaya Uchida (Uchida), who plays Naori Jinguji: The characters and relationships of the three were clearly depicted, and I thought the first episode was like a digest. Somehow, it feels like one season has already passed! (laughs). This leads to the present of the three characters, so I think the first episode is a must-see, especially to find out how the twins feel.
-Was there anything you kept in mind when playing Naori from her childhood to her high school days?
Uchida: Naori and Rumi haven’t changed since childhood, so I was conscious of the fact that she is a little girl even though she is smart and talks a lot, and I acted while changing from scene to scene. I like the scene where they argue with each other because it shows the reason why Naori is Naori and her outstanding personality that probably doesn’t fit in at school.
–What do you think about the distance between Naori and Jun?
Uchida: By the end of episode 3, Naori knows that there is something going on between Rumi and Jun that she doesn’t know about. Because the words she says inside her heart and outwardly are not straightforward, her occasional testing words really sting. Naori is not the type to speak frankly and tends to add a little something, but I think she shows her emotions quite a bit. I think Naori in episode 4 clearly knows that Jun is thinking about Rumi, so I thought that her intelligence is also a problem because she can’t simply enjoy a date.
