The Japanese teaser poster, featuring a grown-up Moana, has now been released.
The Japanese teaser poster, which has just been released, captures the dignified and beautiful expression of Moana, who has grown into an adult three years after the previous film, and is the first poster in the world to feature the face of Moana as an adult. The poster was specially produced just for Japan before the US release, and as the tagline “Let’s set sail to a new destiny” suggests, the visual is impressive, with Moana’s mature expression as she faces a new destiny in search of her “friends” somewhere in the sea.
Moana’s soft yet powerful gaze as she gazes into the distance conveys her strong will to overcome whatever difficulties await her as she embarks on another adventure, raising expectations for a story told on an overwhelming scale and with beautiful visuals.
Also appearing in this film are Hei Hei the chicken, who was popular in the previous film; Pua the crybaby pig who is afraid of the sea and goes on a journey with Moana and her friends; the Kakamora, coconut pirates who are villains who get in the way of their journey but are somehow lovable; and Maui, the demigod who controls the wind and the sea!
It has been decided that China Yabiku will reprise her role as Moana in the Japanese version, and Matsuya Onoe will reprise her role as Maui, just like in the previous film. What fate will once again lead Moana, the girl chosen by the sea?
What kind of adventure will Moana and her friends have, and what songs will they play? Look forward to a story on an epic scale with realistic depictions of the southern islands, beautiful skies, and oceans that you wouldn’t expect from an animation.
