“Cardcaptor Sakura” is a manga serialized in the monthly shojo manga magazine “Nakayoshi” by the creative group CLAMP from the June 1996 issue to the August 2000 issue. It depicts the exploits of Sakura, also known as Kinomoto Sakura, who struggles as a “cardcaptor” to retrieve the “Clow Cards,” which are said to bring disaster to the world. It was made into an anime by NHK from 1998 to 2000 and became very popular.
A new chapter, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, began serialization in 2016, the 20th anniversary of the series. After seven and a half years of serialization, it was completed in 2023, but is still going strong.
This is the second collaboration between Cardcaptor Sakura and GAACAL, and it adds items that are easy to incorporate into everyday life to the lineup.
The “Phone Tab (with beaded strap)” comes in three designs: “Sealing Key,” “Star Key,” and “Dream Key.” The set includes a card holder, beaded strap, and acrylic charm.
The “Mini Pouch (with Keychain)” is a compact transparent storage pouch that comes with a choice of three keychains: “Kero-chan,” “Suppi,” and “Momo.” It is a convenient item for storing cosmetics and small items.
The costumes and wands that have appeared throughout the series were designed by Shell iPhone Cases. The transparency and shine of the shell material expresses the worldview of the series.
The “Magsafe Compatible Card Case” (2 types) with a magic circle motif is also interesting. It fits snugly on the back of the iPhone and can store two cards.
Other products available include a smartphone grip (with key chain), a smartphone ring (with key chain), a magnetic Type-C charging cable, and a magnetic Apple Watch band, each designed with the “Sealing Key,” “Star Key,” and “Dream Key.”
Reservations for each item are being accepted at the GAACAL official online store. Products will be shipped from mid-September 2024 onwards.
