Although Aarya usually gives him a cold look, she sometimes whispers affectionate words in Russian. Meanwhile, Kuze Masachika, who has a native level of Russian listening comprehension, pretends not to notice the meaning of the words being spoken to him. What will become of their love story?
To commemorate the broadcast, Animate Times will be running a series of email interviews with the main cast!
The first guest is Amasaki Kohei, who plays the main character, Kuze Masachika. He talked about the appeal of the series and his character, as well as some episodes from acting.
–How did you feel when you found out you would be appearing in “Rosidere”? Also, what do you think is the appeal of “Rosidere”?
Amazaki Kouhei, voice of Kuze Masachika (hereafter, Amazaki): I had been playing Masachika since the promotional video stage, so I was very happy when it was decided to make an anime.
One of the charms of Rossidere is that “Arya’s Russian dere is extremely cute,” but I think it also has an appeal in that it depicts much simpler things like “people’s feelings” and “relationships between people.” I think that both the catchy parts and the core that lies behind them are the big charms of Rossidere.
–What did you pay attention to during recording when playing the role of Kuze Masachika?
Amasaki: At first glance, he seems like a frivolous and lethargic person, but his true charm is something else. I won’t say anything for certain since the first episode hasn’t aired yet, but I always kept that true charm in mind when I played the role.
If there is a scale where fun and seriousness are at opposite ends, I believe Masachika must be at the maximum of both, so I had to use my brain to the fullest to keep up with his ever-changing expressions and words.
–Was there anything that stood out to you during the dubbing?
Amaki: It was a very friendly set. Usually, during breaks in post-recording, people who are close to each other or who are already good friends talk with each other, but on the set of Rossidere, everyone would often talk about the same thing and get excited.
I got the impression that Maruoka-san, who played Yuki, was at the center of it all (laughs). We talked about so many different things that I’ve forgotten what it was all about. But it was fun.
–I think you can’t talk about “Rosider” without mentioning Aarya, so please tell us what you think are Aarya’s cute points.
Amasaki: Her cute point is her “strength.” That strength is sometimes dazzling, sometimes adorable, sometimes dangerous, and above all, I can’t help but think it’s cute.
Hmm? What does it look like?
It’s sooooo cute!!!
–There are a lot of fascinating characters, but are there any characters in particular that you’d like us to keep an eye on for future exploits?
Amaki: Everyone! They did a great job! Look forward to it!
