Hikaru Tono, Shion Wakayama, and Momoka Terazawa appeared at the talk event. They talked about the joy of interacting with fans in Toyohashi, where the story is set, and stories about their experiences with Shuichiro Umeda, who plays the main character Kazuhiko Nukumizu, creating a lively atmosphere.
An advance screening and cast talk event for the TV anime “Too Many Losing Heroines!”, which will begin airing on Saturday, July 13th, was held at United Cinema Toyohashi 18 in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, and United Cinema Toyosu in Tokyo.
This work is based on the 15th Shogakukan Light Novel Award (Gagaga Prize) winning novel by Amemori Takibi, and is a new, crazy youth story of defeat that focuses on the “losing heroines” – girls who fail to win the position of lover to the man they love.
The world’s first screening of the first and second episodes was a chance for fans of “McCain” to watch at United Cinema Toyohashi 18 in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, where the film is set. After the screening, Tono Hikaru, who plays Anna Yanami, Wakayama Shion, who plays Lemon Yakishio, and Terasawa Momoka, who plays Komari Chika, appeared on stage. The three actresses who play the “losing heroines” gathered together to start the talk event.
First of all, everyone was happy to be able to come to Toyohashi, the holy land of “McCain,” and to be able to attend the screening. They spoke of their joy at being able to have so many people watch the film in Toyohashi, where the film is set. They also mentioned the beautiful scenery of Toyohashi that appears in the film, and when the cast asked, “Were you able to feel Toyohashi when you watched the film?”, there was a big round of approval from the audience.
The first episode focuses on Anna Yanami, played by Tono, and the second on Lemon Yakishio, played by Wakayama, but the story progresses while touching on the heroines they each play, and there are always loud laughs from the audience. At this point, the host introduced a special guest. The mayor of Toyohashi, Yoshitaka Asai, had come to show his support himself. The film has been officially recognized by Toyohashi City as the “Toyohashi Support Team,” and Tono, Wakayama, and Terazawa were presented with official sashes on behalf of the film.
Mayor Asai said, “It’s a wonderful piece of footage filled with beautiful scenery and a variety of scenes of Toyohashi and Higashi Mikawa. I’m really looking forward to it starting to air. I hope everyone across the country will watch it.” His message also conveyed the strong cooperation and enthusiasm for support from Toyohashi City, where the story is set.
At the end of the event, Tono concluded by saying, “The broadcast is finally about to begin. Please support McCain and Toyohashi!”, bringing the Toyohashi venue to a close.
Later that afternoon, the second event kicked off at United Cinema Toyosu in Tokyo.
The group traveled from Toyohashi and made it to the stage in time. When he asked the audience, who had just finished watching episodes 1 and 2, “What did you think of it?”, they erupted in applause. The cast members commented on the beauty of the images in episodes 1 and 2, and the audience agreed.

最後に寺澤さんは「豊橋にも、豊洲にもたくさんの方に集まっていただき、こんなにたくさんの方に愛されている作品なんだと胸がいっぱいです。たくさん応援してくれたら嬉しいです！」、若山さんは「みなさんのお力をお借りしてマケインの輪を広げていきたいです。ぜひマケインを広めていってください！」、遠野さんは「放送が始まる前にこれだけの方々がマケインを楽しみにしてくださっているということを感じて、とても幸せな一日でした。最後まで『負けて輝く』マケインたちを応援してください！」とそれぞれ語り、イベントは終了した。
豊橋で学生生活を送る魅力あふれるキャラクターたちと、彼女たちの青春を美しい映像で描くTVアニメ『負けヒロインが多すぎる！』を、ぜひ最後まで楽しんでほしい。
