While there are many anime fans in Latin America, there are limited legitimate ways to watch anime, and it has become common to watch Japanese anime for free on illegal sites. In response to this, REMOW LATAM’s Japanese anime distribution service for Latin America, Anime Onegai.com , has added five new channels to its Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST Channels) canal Anime Onegai, expanding the number of channels to a total of six.
Furthermore, the five new channels will be available on LG Electronics’ LG Smart TVs from May 13th, greatly expanding the number of anime fans who can watch them. LG Smart TVs currently provide service in five countries, including Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Colombia. The five new channels are also scheduled to soon be compatible with Roku, a smart TV OS/device used by 80 million people worldwide and popular in Latin America.
By allowing Latin American anime fans to enjoy a wide range of officially licensed Japanese anime for free on the official FAST channel, we hope to expand the fan base and also return royalties to Japanese anime producers. We see this as a groundbreaking first step in becoming a base for disseminating Japanese anime in the Latin American region.
Furthermore, Mexico’s public broadcaster Canal 22 has produced and begun offering a 60-minute program called “Geekeando sin límites,” which combines the main feature of the anime with anime information. The anime in the program is currently “Oh! “Dragonfly” is being broadcast. The program not only allows fans to enjoy the main anime, but also directly delivers the latest anime information that is difficult to reach in Latin America, aiming to increase fan satisfaction and increase fan satisfaction. REMOW intends to continue expanding its base of information dissemination of Japanese anime in order to realize the anime market in Latin America.

■About the original anime program “Geekeando sin limites”
・Intention of the program name:
Geekeando is a combination of “Geek” meaning “otaku” and “eando” meaning “progressing form (doing something)”, and “sin limites” means “infinite”. The name was chosen with the hope that the viewers will continue to master Japanese culture just like “otaku”, which is synonymous with Japanese culture.
