Kensho Ono, Miyu Tomita, and director Tomotaka Shibayama will be on stage at this event. They excited the audience by talking about Yamagata’s gourmet food and places they would like to visit.

Kensho Ono, who plays the role of Hiiragi, a first-year high school student living in Yamagata Prefecture, Miyu Tomita, who plays the role of the demon girl Tsumugi, and director Tomotaka Shibayama appeared in the packed venue to thunderous applause. This stage greeting is the first time Ono and Tomita have visited Yamagata Prefecture! “The air is clean and delicious. I’ve been taking deep breaths ever since I came to Yamagata (lol),” says Ono. Tomita was also impressed by the nature-rich environment of Yamagata, saying, “I was talking to the staff about how you can smell nature the moment you get off the Shinkansen at the station!”

Ono and the director, who had been visiting Yamagata since yesterday, revealed that they had stayed at the hot spring “Hoju no Yu (Japanese inn)” that actually appears in the movie, and they seemed to regret it, saying, “That’s sneaky! I want to go!” Tomita. The director, who visited Yamagata for the first time in about two years after location scouting, commented, Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay at Hoju no Yu during location scouting, and I wasn't able to take a bath in the hot springs, so I was happy.'' Ono said, I ran into the director on my way to the open-air bath, and he was soaking his feet in the bath.The director stood up to greet me, but his feet were still in the hot water (lol) It was a bit of a strange greeting. Tomita said, Yonezawa beef bento, lots of cherries, grilled rice, tama konnyaku, apple juice, local gummy bears…They had so much prepared in the waiting room that I thought they were going to open a food stall! The director explained why he chose Yamagata for the stage, While looking for a place with deep snow, I came to Yamagata Prefecture to scout locations, and there were many locations other than snow that would make the film look great, so I decided to set the stage there. It was decided. Also, there were local people who gave us detailed information that we didn't know because we didn't live there, so I was attracted to their enthusiasm,'' the director says. Takakki and Hatakki, who live in Takahata Town, where Uriwari Isoniwa Park is located, which was the model for the entrance to the Oni World = Hidden Village”, were overjoyed by these words!
