On May 19, 2024 (Sunday), “LAWSON presents Talk & Variety Event Hibisou Building 3 ~Where will we all go?~” was held at Nikkei Hall. (Two shifts: daytime and nighttime)
This event will feature a number of projects that you can enjoy together with the residents (general term for Hibisou fans)! Animate Times conducted interviews with five people after the event, and heard their stories from various angles, including their thoughts immediately after the event, their reflections on each corner, and the live performance.
ーーFirst of all, please give us your honest impressions of today.
Kanata Aikawa (hereinafter referred to as Aikawa): It was my first time at Hibisou in about 3 months, so it felt like it had been a long time. just me?
Everyone: I understand!
Aikawa: I took on the challenge with such a strange feeling, but there were many things I did for the first time, so it was fresh and fun.
Mirei Tachibana (hereinafter referred to as Tachibana): There were many first-time attempts, such as recorder ensembles and on-location commentary. It was refreshing to watch the location footage while talking with everyone, and I’m sure the residents enjoyed it too. In the evening session, I was impressed by the residents who were intently watching the location footage (anticipating a quiz question).
Aikawa: Some people were taking notes!
–There were souvenirs with everyone’s autographs on them.
Tachibana: Maybe studying for a test!? (laughs) I was happy to be able to see such details.
Kokona Natsume (hereinafter referred to as Natsume): It’s been 3 months since I last saw you, but I thought it was the first time in a while. The residents sent us lots of love, and we said, “This is it! This is it!” As the end of the event approached, I felt lonely and realized once again how important this space was.
Moka Hinata (hereinafter referred to as Hinata): Personally, I’m glad that the recorder ended successfully…
Natsume: You did your best!
Hinata: At first I was worried that I couldn’t do it at all, but I’m glad I was able to play it properly.
Koharu Miyazawa (hereinafter referred to as Miyazawa): I was able to try many new things during this 11th Hibisou event. There were English readings performed, five people playing the recorder, and filming on location. In addition, it was the first time for us to give souvenirs to customers and perform a song under our own name.
All: Certainly.
Miyazawa: We all talked about it, and I think it was a memorable episode.
–Now let’s look back at each corner. As I mentioned earlier, the reading drama was multilingual. In the afternoon session, Mr. Aikawa and Mr. Miyazawa showed off their English.
Aikawa: I was happy to hear the residents say, “Wow!” However, I think that when you think of English, you have an image of Miyazawa.
Miyazawa: (In “Hikkasou No. 3~#Nichinichi-san Playlist~”) He sang “Let It Go”!
Aikawa: I see! But my English is at a level where my only strength is pronunciation…
ーーThe pronunciation alone is amazing enough. What do you think of Mr. Miyazawa?
Miyazawa: When I first saw the script, I was like, “Huh…?” (laughs).
