Three movie versions of “Haikyu!!”, “Bullo” and “Obaro” will be distributed overseas! Crunchyroll develops with SonyThe three works, “Haikyu!! The Movie: Battle at the Garbage Dump,” “Blue Rock the Movie – EPISODE Nagi,” and “Overlord the Movie: Holy Kingdom Edition” will be released in North America, Central and South America, and some parts of Europe. It was revealed that distribution is scheduled for 2024. Both works will be developed by Crunchyroll in conjunction with Sony Pictures Entertainment.

This was revealed on April 9th, when Crunchyroll made its first appearance at CinemaCon (a convention for those involved in the movie industry) held in Las Vegas, USA. Mitchell Berger, Crunchyroll’s senior vice president of global commerce, took to the stage to announce that these three titles will be distributed this year in North America, as well as parts of Latin America and Europe.

Distribution of Haikyu!! The Movie: Battle at the Garbage Dump'', which is the first movie in the FINAL series of the anime Haikyu!!”, will begin on May 30th. A campaign for the film was held in France with the LNV volleyball league, and a preview screening for the press was held in Los Angeles, so expectations are high for the film to become a hit.

Blue Rock the Movie -EPISODE Nagi-'', which is the first film adaptation of the anime Blue Rock” and is based on a spin-off manga, will be selected as a new feature-length film this year at the “Annecy International Film Festival” to be held in France in June. It will be released overseas for the first time in the “Annecy Presents” category, which specializes in movies.

The film will be released in North America on June 28th. The first completely new movie version of the anime series Overlord'', Overlord the Movie: Holy Kingdom Arc,” will be released in Japan in the fall of 2024. Details will be announced at a later date. I look forward to further updates.
