anime! anime! To commemorate the start of broadcasting of this work, we conducted a discussion interview with Sayuri Hara, who plays Chiaki Ogaki, Aki Toyosaki, who plays Aoi Inuyama, and Rie Takahashi, who plays Ena Saito. We talked about the dubbing process under the new system, recommended spots and gourmet food for a “Yuru Camp△”-like experience, and ways to relax.

ーーHow did you feel when it was decided that you would be producing “SEASON 3”?

Hara : I thought the movie would be a one-off, so I was really surprised and happy when they announced “SEASON 3.” It was a big unexpected surprise.

Toyosaki : Even after SEASON 2'' and the movie ended, I didn't feel like the anime Yuru Camp△” had come to an end, and I always had a feeling that there would be a sequel someday. It’s all thanks to the support of all the fans who love the work.

Takahashi : For some reason, I also had the impression that it would continue, but I’ve seen how the staff have poured all their energy into this work, so I’m not afraid to say, “Please continue!” I couldn’t say it. But when the sequel was actually decided, I was so happy that I thought, “I’ve been waiting!”

–From this season, the production company will be Eight Bit. The character designs are also closer to the original, and the director has passed the baton from director Kyogoku to director Tosaka. How was the dubbing with the new team?

Toyosaki : When we started the dubbing this time, we received a message from the production team saying, “Let’s continue to inherit all the good things we’ve had so far, and let’s all work together to create a new charm for SEASON 3.”

On the set of “Yuru Camp△”, the staff team did the dubbing while looking at the live-action photos taken on location scouting, and we enjoyed recording while inheriting the wonderful atmosphere of the dubbing that is unique to this work. I did.

Takahashi : During this dubbing, we also ate hamburgers in the studio.

Hara : That’s the hamburger that Ayano brings in the story!

Toyosaki : The staff brought it to the set and burned it in the hot water supply area during the dubbing.

Hara : I sometimes receive sweets on set, but this was the first time I had someone cook something over a fire on the spot (lol).

Takahashi : Even Nao-san (Higashiyama), who finished her role in part A, came to help with the baking part way through (lol). She was so delicious.

–That kind of thing is unique to the set of “Yuru Camp△”, isn’t it?

Toyosaki : I’m really grateful. I think the unique appeal of this work is that it connects with reality and can be enjoyed because it is based on real-life spots and gourmet food, and we also felt that during the dubbing. It would be fun for everyone who watches the anime to actually go to places like Yamanashi, Shizuoka, or Izu that appeared in “SEASON 2” and visit the restaurants that were featured in the story and tour the sacred places. I think so.

Hara : There are many places where the local people cooperate and welcome you to visit sacred places.

Toyosaki : When me, Hara-chan, and Eri Sasaki participated in an event called Meat-eating Party'' held in Minobu, they showed me a flyer about local specialties, and it said My favorite character.” Everyone in the shopping district wrote introductions like, “This is Hachikuwa.” It was very soothing (lol).

Hara : We were interviewed by the newspaper, and we are truly grateful to have the support of the entire community.

Toyosaki : Making the local people happy is a way of giving back to us, so we are very happy.
