The final 7th volume of the popular Korean Lezhin Comics series “Yaugacho” will be released on October 22, 2024.
This time, we have received a post-recording interview with Saito Soma and Okitsu Kazuyuki, who will appear in the “Mini Drama CD” that will be a paid bonus for this work at Animate (including mail order)! Please check it out ♪
–Please tell us your thoughts now that the recording is finished.
Saito Soma (hereinafter, Saito), voice of Baek Namin: Namin’s atmosphere and expression have changed a lot since we first acted in the PV, so it was very moving to see how the two of them have been through a lot in their lives.
Kazuyuki Okitsu (role of Yoon Seungho) (hereafter, Okitsu): I never dreamed that I would be able to play the role to the end, so I was very happy! There were a lot of things that happened between the two of them that we didn’t play… (laughs).
–Please tell us about any scenes that left an impression on you.
Saito: As Mr. Okitsu also mentioned in the cast talk, I thought the scene where the two of them finally meet again, where Naminé realizes something, coupled with his feelings for Seungho, was a wonderful scene. I felt that these two don’t need words, and I also thought it was a wonderful example of the direction that can only be achieved with a manga original. And if I had to pick one more scene, it would be the one with the jar… (laughs).
Okitsu: That’s true (laughs). It’s a good thing the jar was empty… Maybe it was just my master’s kindness.
Saito: It would have been terrible if there had been water in it (laughs). Personally, I thought I should have stopped picking up the jar when I got angry, so I’m glad I took the survival route!
Okitsu: The line was “I was captivated by your paintings.” It really was the most memorable scene. The scene that left the biggest impression on me was when I stuck my finger down my throat (laughs). I acted it out by putting my finger deep in my throat. It had been a while since I’d done that, so my finger got covered in drool, so I disinfected it right away (laughs).
–Finally, please give a message to the fans who are looking forward to the release!
Saito: The series I was fortunate enough to be involved in has finally come to an end. I would be happy if I could add even a little color to this series, which has a profound storyline, as a voice actor.
Anyway, the illustrations and story power of the work, and the character design are really wonderful, so I hope you will enjoy the original work over and over again, as well as the drama CD and PV. Please continue to support “Yogachou”!
