A beautiful girl who attends the same high school as Momo and her friends. Her cuteness makes her overconfident and prone to assumptions. After picking up “something,” she gains psychic powers and is able to see spirits. This leads her to believe she is the “chosen one,” and she mistakes Momo, who has psychic powers, for the devil and tries to defeat her.
Isla has a beautiful appearance that even women find enchanting. She is aware of this, but because of it she tends to be quite overconfident. Although she doesn’t show it on the outside, she also secretly looks down on people she finds dull.
At school, she plays the role of a cute and innocent character, but deep down, just like Momo, she has a very competitive personality. She believes that she is the chosen one, and even during battles, she always claims to be the leader.
Although she has a rebellious and dishonest personality, as she builds a relationship with Momo, she begins to acknowledge her own shortcomings and reflect on them, and we also get a glimpse of her acting with her friends in mind. Isla’s personal growth is also one of the highlights of this film.
Aila is targeted and attacked by the yokai Acrobatic Sarasa (hereafter referred to as Akusara). This all started over 10 years ago. Aila lost her mother at a young age, and was so distressed by the loss of her child that she took her own life. She mistakenly called Akusara, who was wandering around unable to rest in peace, “Mother.”
Because of this, Akusara believed that Aila was his daughter, and even after she was no longer able to recognize youkai, he continued to wait for her to look at him again. Then, when Aila was able to recognize him again, he attacked her to get his daughter.
However, Axara regains her senses after her rampage results in the death of Aila. She remembers her love as a mother and brings Aila back to life by giving her her flame (aura), but Axara loses her flame in exchange and dies.
After receiving the flames of Akusara, Aila is able to use Akusara’s powers. Thus, Aila becomes a person with the ability to use the powers of yokai.
Aila’s weapons are her acrobatic, quick movements and kicks that she unleashes with her long legs. Also, when awakened, she transforms into an appearance similar to Akuma, and her hair grows long. The length of her hair can be freely changed, and she is very useful as a hand or foot, restraining enemies or wrapping herself around herself to protect herself.
Although it has nothing to do with her strength, her speech becomes more similar to hers when awakened. She uses words like “your weak spot,” “put it in,” and “your shameless” in a strange, ladylike way, which leaves a strong impression.
At first, Isla was hostile towards Momo, but after repeated battles with monsters, they gradually built a friendship. However, the two are always fighting, constantly calling each other “ugly” and “stupid,” and from the outside, they don’t seem like they get along very well.
However, while Aira plays the pure and innocent character in front of her classmates, her true nature is that of a bossy and aggressive girl. She can only be herself in front of Momo.
Although she never says it out loud or shows it in her actions, deep down she cares for Momo and trains to help her. The two are such good friends that they often fight.
In order to fight against the evil demon, Evil Eye, Aila and Okarun decide to train with Turbo Granny. They are taken to the school music room in the middle of the night. There, the spirits of famous musicians appear. They attack Aila and her friends with bombs in the shape of musical notes.
As the tempo of the music they play increases, so does the speed of their attacks, making it difficult for Aila and her friends to even avoid them. However, as they do so, they begin to learn the tempo of battle.
ところが敵は巨大な歌手の幻影を出現させ、攻撃は激化。アイラは長い髪を駆使して巨人たちに対抗しますが、大きな手で叩き落とされてしまいます。そこで一瞬心が折れかけますが、邪視によって命の危険に晒されたモモを思い出し、再度奮起！ 見事4体の巨人を1人で倒しきったのでした。
アイラを演じるのは佐倉綾音さん。1月29日生まれ、東京都出身。『五等分の花嫁』の中野四葉役をはじめ、『僕のヒーローアカデミア』の麗日お茶子役など数々の人気キャラクターを演じています。
初めは自信過剰でちょっと嫌なキャラとして登場するアイラ。しかし、モモとの関係が構築されていくにつれて、人間的な成長や友達想いな一面が見えるようになっていきます。普段はへそ曲がりな行動も多いものの、ふとした瞬間にモモへの想いや優しさが見えるからこそアイラは愛おしく感じられるのです！
