Hoshiko is a psychic who goes by the strange name of Dodoria Santa. Although the name sounds a bit fishy, his skills are solid, as he was able to accurately predict the real age and wife/children of idols who had lied about their backgrounds.
She is good at barrier magic, and not only can she create a barrier around her house, but she can also use that skill to fight Turbo Granny on her own. Her skills are well known in the spiritual medium community, and when a veteran spiritual medium was unable to exorcise the evil spirits in Jiji’s house, she introduced Hoshiko as her last resort, and she even traveled to Hokkaido to perform exorcisms.

作中ではモモたちを温かく見守る心強い存在として描かれる星子。それと同時に多くの謎を秘めた人物でもあります。ここからは星子にまつわる謎を考察していきたいと思います。
幽霊や妖怪は信じているものの、宇宙人は信じていない星子。その姿勢は、本物の宇宙人に会ったりUFOを見てもなお変わりません。言葉まで交わした宇宙人・ドーバーデーモンのことは河童だと言い張るほどその姿勢は頑な。ここまでくると少し不自然に感じられます。
星子は宇宙人について何か知っていることがあり、モモにそれを知ってほしくないのではないでしょうか。そのため宇宙人の存在を否定し続けているとすれば、頑固な態度も納得がいく気がします。
二つ目の謎は、モモの両親のこと。作中では第1話で幼い頃から「両親がいない」ということが明かされているだけで、写真や思い出の回想シーンなども描かれていません。
私は「両親は幼い頃に亡くなっている」と認識していたのですが、よくよく読み返してみると「両親がいない」としか書かれていませんでした。もしかすると両親は存命しているのではないでしょうか。
重要な情報にもかかわらず詳細が明かされていないことや、「両親が亡くなっている」と読者に思わせるようなミスリードを併せて考えると、モモの両親が作品の鍵になる可能性が浮上してきます。
果たしてモモの両親、そして星子の息子（あるいは娘）は何者なのでしょうか……。
さらに、星子とモモそれぞれの能力についても考えていきたいと思います。星子が霊媒師としての力を持っているのであれば、モモも同じように霊媒師としての力を持っていることは何ら不思議ではありません。
しかし、土地神の力を借りて結界術を使う星子と念力のような力で生物や物体を掴むことができるというモモの能力は少し性質が異なるように思えます。モモの能力に近い能力といえばセルポ星人の念力を用いた「六根」ではないでしょうか。
他の宇宙人も念力を使うかというとそうではないので、断定することはできませんが、モモの両親のいずれかが宇宙人……という可能性もありえなくはない気がします。そうであれば、星子が宇宙人を信じないことも、両親に関しての詳細が明かされていないこともつじつまが合うような……。これらの謎について知っていそうな星子。彼女の動向に注目です……！
