The protagonist of this work is Haruka, who spends her high school life as a loner. Haruka is suddenly summoned to another world along with her classmates, and while making full use of the bad skills imposed on her by God, including the loner nature, she aims to conquer the other world alone.
Animate Times is running a series of interviews that delve into the appeal of this work! In the third installment, we interviewed Naota Himena, who plays the gal leader, via email about the highlights of the anime and the cheat skills she would like to have.
-Please tell us your impressions when you first read the original work.
Himena Naota (Naota), who plays the Gal Leader: I thought it was really interesting that all the classmates’ names were “Gal Leader,” “Gal A, D,” etc., from Haruka’s point of view. I wonder if there will ever be a day when Haruka will recognize their names and call them by them… Also, there were so many characters, so I remember going to the set looking forward to seeing how the recording would go!
–Once again, please tell us about the gal leader you will be playing.
Naota: She’s the leader of the gals in her class. So she’s a bit strong-willed… some people might find her a bit harsh. But she’s also got a cute side to her, so I think you won’t be able to take your eyes off her! I can’t wait to share the charm of that contrast with everyone…!
-What kind of direction did you receive in order to play the role of a gal leader?
Naota: When we were recording the first episode, the sound director, Hirasawa-san, said to me, “You were perfect for the role of a strong-willed gal in the audition, so please do your best!” So I played a strong-willed gal with all my might, but he said, “That might be a bit too strong and scary…” (laughs). I put too much energy into it!
In acting, we tried to pack in everything we wanted to do, our strong will, as well as our honesty and cuteness.
