Q. How do you feel about participating in the opening theme of the anime “Murai no Koi”?
It’s always been my dream to be in charge of the opening theme for an anime, so I was really happy! I knew about “Murai no Koi” before, so I was honored and happy to be involved in such a work. Also, since the work itself is a comedy, I was excited to see what kind of opening theme it would be!
Q. What did you think when you read the script for this film?
I was surprised at the beginning of the first episode because I thought the setting of a student resembling his favorite student was interesting! It would be nice if something like this actually happened. I think I would be very confused if this really happened in real life though (lol)
Q. When singing the song, were there any points you paid particular attention to or lyrics that you liked?
The hardest part was the fast-paced part of the A-melody. The lyrics were like lines, so it was hard to sing them fast but in a way that sounded like lines and fun. If I just sang it, it would be a boring song. But I sang the part that came after that, “Tattattara, tattatarara” with great pleasure! I was smiling from ear to ear, and I was singing so happily that musical notes appeared around me!
The phrase that I feel the most strongly about is “Datte nandez koi desu”. This is the first phrase that hits the ears, so I put all my energy into it! I recorded it with all my heart.
As for the behind-the-scenes story… I recorded it while discussing with the director what to do, but actually, after the recording was finished, we re-recorded it once…! Thanks to that, it became a great song that I was satisfied with.
Q. What feelings did you have when singing this song while recording?
“Murai’s Love” is a piece filled with love from Murai to Tanaka-sensei, so I put a lot of love into it! I sang it to be full of happiness and love, so that both the singer and the listeners would feel happy.
In the D-melody there is a line that says, “I like myself because I’m sparkly, cute, and cool,” and I was conscious of making these comedic parts enjoyable for the listeners.
Also, I sang the “Huh?” in the intro, chorus, and Bang! part with all my heart…! This “Huh?” is packed with a lot of feelings, so I hope you’ll pay attention to it when you listen!
Q. What did you think when you saw the opening video?
When I first watched it, I thought it was like a dream you have when you’re not feeling well (lol),
but this crazy visual is what “Murai’s Love” is all about! It’s cute, it’s comedic, and at the end, it even made my heart flutter. It was a fun and wonderful OP to watch!
Q. Is there a character you are most similar to or can empathize with, or a character that you would particularly like to support?
It’s hard to choose… Kiriyama is a good character. But Hirai is good too… I can’t choose! The friendship between Murai, Kiriyama and Hirai is the best!
It’s completely unrelated, but in the end, guys like Hirai are the most popular (lol).
Speaking of things I can relate to, I also had a crush on a senior when I was a student, so seeing Murai’s devotion made me feel nostalgic. I like the bittersweetness that you can’t experience as an adult.
Q. This work also depicts the seriousness of each person towards their “oshi”. What “oshi” are you passionate about, Rinu?
漫画が大好きで毎週たくさん漫画を読んでいます。すべての漫画を推してます！！日々新しい作品を探しているんですが、SNSで見かけて気になった漫画はなるべく単行本を買うようにしていますね。単行本を買うことが作品を応援することにつながると思っているので、面白い作品を見つけたら積極的に購入して推し事してます！！
Q. アニメ『村井の恋』の見どころはどんなところですか？
やっぱり田中先生に対する村井の姿勢が一番の見どころですね。好きなことに対してこんなにまっすぐでいいんだ！と村井のでっかい愛情を観て自信をもらえると思いますし、人を好きになることや人を大事にすることの重要性を改めて感じられると思います。
田中先生のように臆病になってしまう瞬間がある人も、一歩踏み出していいんだ！と勇気をもらえるような作品なのではないでしょうか。
